Another great evening at the club, with members enjoying a lovely evening, catching up with friends and competing in Crack-A-Jack, with this week’s prize being won by Les Cheeseman.

What an amazing Open Day we enjoyed on Sunday! The sun shone and we welcomed our many visitors who tried their hand at lawn bowls and enjoyed the hospitality of our facilities. Our thanks to all the members who helped support our event and thanks too to everyone who came along.

Well done to our Men’s County Triples team led by David Phillipson. Having beaten Popes Mead in the first round last Thursday (with David joined by Tom Campbell and Roger Lovell), the team went on to win this evening against Hurstpierpoint (David playing this time with Mick Wright and Roger Lovell). Their next match follows on Thursday 28th May, at home to Portslade. We wish them every success!

It’s our Open Day tomorrow - refreshments will be available and you can enjoy the shade of our clubhouse and patio area when you’re not on the green. 1000-1200 come along and see us!

Well done to the ladies’ Top Club team who had a great match against Horsham BC, playing singles, pairs, triples and rinks games. Whilst we were all pleased to be playing without wearing 3 or 4 layers for one of the first days this season, it was rather too hot for some of us. Although many of the games were neck and neck for a while, Horsham eventually won and we wish them luck in the next round.

turn right along Furners Mead, go right to the end and follow the road round to the left into The Daisycroft. The bowls club is straight ahead of you - plenty of free parking.

Our Area Manager, Chris Hatt was delighted to welcome Mick and Sue Wright from Henfield Bowling Club to our Funeral Home as we celebrate becoming part of The Martins group.

We really enjoyed learning more about the workings of the Bowling Club as well as showing off our fabulous Jaguar hearse which enables us to offer an extra special send off whilst retaining the personal care that Peter has always been able to show to the people of Henfield.

We look forward to supporting local organisations like the Bowling Club wherever we can.
