Herts Baseball Club Herts Baseball Club is affiliated with the British Baseball Federation, British Softball Federation and Little League Inc.

Our adult and youth teams play in the various league tiers of British Baseball and British Softball. Herts Baseball Club was founded in 1996 and over the years has become one of the largest baseball organisations in the country. The club is affiliated with the British Baseball Federation and Little League Baseball Inc. The Herts adult programme includes four teams, which play in the four British b

aseball leagues. The Herts Falcons, which is the club’s first team, competes in the National Baseball League (NBL) which is Britain’s top baseball league. The Falcons were promoted to the NBL in 2009, after becoming AAA British National Champions in 2008. Our four adult teams – the Falcons, Eagles, Hawks and Raptors – are truly international, with players originating from as far as Japan, the United States, Germany, South Africa, China, Australia, Canada, Poland, Venezuela, Bulgaria and Serbia to add to the strong nucleus of British players. The club also runs one of the largest and most successful youth baseball programmes in the UK. It offers baseball to boys and girls aged between 6 and 18. The club’s Under-14 All-Star team became Great Britain’s Under-14 National Champion in 2010 and runner-up in 2011. The Herts U17 team was a runner-up in 2013. Herts players are frequently selected by the various Great Britain National Teams and we hope that a player who has developed in the Herts youth programme will one day play on the world stage in MLB. Herts Baseball Club is frequently featured on BBC and other television channels and radio stations. The Club is based at Grovehill Ballpark in Hemel Hempstead, Hertfordshire. It has made substantial investments in the Ballpark and baseball facilities with support from the National Lottery, BSUK and many other organisations and partners. As a result Herts Baseball Club is becoming a regular host of high-profile events such as the National Baseball Championships, the Herts Spring League, the Herts Futures Tournament, the Hunlock Series, and others. The club welcomes men and women, boys and girls regardless of whether or not they have had previous baseball experience. We offer baseball opportunities for all. Some shots from the weekend of the Hawks on our Saturday quarter final game against Leeds - Leeds Locos Baseball Club - We want to give our huge appreciation to Leeds for making the 416 mile round trip (The entire M1!) who were nothing but fantastic people and had the pleasure of playing against them at Basing Hill. ❤️

Hawks win! Hawks advance to the Semi Finals after beating Leeds at Basing Hill. The hot bats of the Hawks kept firing and Wardy throwing a complete game, always giving us a chance. Lee Dunn with a cruise missile of a HR the standout play. Big appreciation to Leeds on making the long journey. Up next….

Round Up - The regular season finale has come to a close. Some aren’t done however..

- Toucans come up short in their final game of the season series against the Pirates. The Pirates took up a strong first inning which caused the Toucans to come up short in the first game 2-7. The second game saw a far closer affair with Masa back on the hill, striking out 7, however it wasn’t enough as Croydon come up winners 5-7.
- Hawks swept in their final games of the season away to Richmond. Home Runs from Giuseppe Basilea and Harry Mcmenamin the standout characters on the day, crushing the ball over the walls. The Herts offense combined for 33 runs in the series, with their final prep, winning 16-1 and 17-1. Hawks now look to go one step further…
- Eagles finished up their season against the Bracknell Pyros who came to town. The two games saw close affairs with solid hits from both sides. Neil Chilton and Michael Chacko clubbing the ball but was not enough to win 11-7. Second game saw the bats however went silent, which Bracknell took the game 14-6.
