As another brilliant season comes to a close, we’re proud to recognise the achievements of some outstanding members of the club.
🏅 Clubman of the Year – Jim Burrowes
Jim’s work for Helsby RUFC goes beyond the pitch. He has driven the club’s social media and wider visibility, helping to raise its profile and attract new sponsors. A key part of the club’s core, his efforts behind the scenes have been hugely important to its continued growth. As Coach Phil stated “He is also a very decent player!” 🏉
🏅 Coaches’ Player of the Year – Sean McLoughlin
Sean has been a standout performer all season. Week after week, he has set the standard with his work rate, commitment, and consistency. He embodies everything a Helsby player should be and is a thoroughly deserving recipient of this award. 🏉
🏅 Players’ Player of the Year – Ross Buxton
Voted by his teammates, Ross is the player everyone wants beside them on the pitch. His relentless tackling, commitment, and attacking flair have made him one of the season’s standout performers. He leaves everything on the field every time he pulls on the shirt. 🏉
🏅 Most Improved Player – Alex Butterworth
Alex’s progress this season has been excellent. His hard work and determination have been clear to see, and he has stepped up in key moments, including important scores in crucial games. A well-earned recognition of his development throughout the year. 🏉
