A huge shout‑out to the parents, coaches, and volunteers who make days like this happen. Your hard work and support mean everything to our boys and girls — you’re the heartbeat of this club 💛🖤

🤩 And if you want your son or daughter to be part of our family, get in touch. Our 25/26 season is coming to a close, but there will be some fun events over the summer to get involved! And we go again in September - recruiting for all squads - no experience necessary and every player gets at least half a game🏉

🚨 Liverpool St Helens vs Helsby – Match Report 🚨

A hard-fought game saw both Liverpool St Helens and Helsby battle with great intensity throughout. Despite a strong and determined performance, Helsby edged the contest and secured promotion 🥈

It was also Andy Mac’s last game for the club—thank you for everything, and you’ll always be welcome back at the socials whenever you can make it. A special mention too to big Sean on his birthday—couldn’t wish a better day to a great bloke.

🔥 MATCHDAY REPORT 🔥

Helsby delivered a dominant performance against Prenton, running out 38–12 winners in a match that showcased both flair and resilience. From the first whistle, the boys played some truly magical rugby, moving the ball with confidence, offloading well, and breaking the line with real intent.

It was a performance full of physicality, teamwork, and control, with every player stepping up and contributing to an outstanding all-round display 🙌💛🖤💛

🏆 Man of the Match - Andy Mac 🏆
A performance to remember. Andy Mac was absolutely dominant, playing with his heart on his sleeve from the first whistle. He set the tone with his very first contact – flying out the line with pace and aggression (even if the lad didn’t even have the ball and was curled up in the fetal position). From there, he led every collision, carried relentlessly, and inspired the team throughout. In his last ever home game, he left nothing out there – the final ride. Bowing down to the flags at the end was a fitting send-off for a true warrior.

🍆 D*ck of the Day – Jim 🍆

To be fair, Jim actually scored and had plenty of good moments in what was, at times, a strong performance. But the mistakes… and there were plenty of them. A pinpoint pass straight to a Southport player gifted their first try, and the big one – not passing to Andy Mac, who was clean through on his final home game, only to get tackled and knock it on himself. A game of highs and lows, but the volume of errors earned him a huge nomination from just about everyone.

🔥 Match day report 🔥

Helsby ran out 63–14 winners against Southport 3rd XV in a high-scoring contest.

Despite the scoreline, Southport showed incredible determination, battling hard from the first whistle to the last and never letting their heads drop. Their effort was rewarded with two well-earned tries, reflecting their resilience and commitment throughout.

Helsby’s attacking quality proved decisive, but Southport’s work rate and spirit stood out in a game where they simply didn’t stop.

Great game from the Helsby boys. Onto next week! 💛 🖤 🏉
