⚽️🏆 AWARDS NIGHT 2026 🏆⚽️

What a night! Duncombe Park Ladies and Men’s teams came together at The Feathers in Helmsley on Friday to celebrate a season full of graft, growth and great football.

The atmosphere was brilliant — trophies lifted, glasses raised, and some very impressive shapes thrown on the dance floor 🥂🪩.

🏆 ⚽️On Sunday it was the cup finals day of the 25/26 North Riding County Football Association women’s recreational league ⚽️ 🏆

This was the round up of the season and Park played all the teams in the top half of the table! It was a great day with a load of football so the ladies were in their element! Massive thank you to Thirsk Falcons Football Club for hosting, such a great venue!

The ladies gave 100% all day and really had that park determination, x5 draws and x2 losses but they just couldn’t find the back of the net! But with only 2 goals conceded they can end the season with their heads held high and be proud of the progress they have made since last season!

Player of the tournament goes to Ann!!!
She gave a brilliant performance in goal and outfield, she was absolutely outstanding as she has been all season!! 💕⚽️

It was the last day of the 25/26North Riding County Football Association ladies recreational league today and I am delighted to say DPLFC finished 3rd in the South league!!! 🥉

1st game (league) Park 0 - 0
A hard-fought stalemate against a strong, quick, and highly organised side. Jamie-Lee was the star at the back, pulling off some fantastic saves to keep a clean sheet. The lasses defended brilliantly

2nd game (friendly) Park 2 - 1 Honeyball Warriors. There may have been an own goal from us….but the VAR check for how remains inconclusive 🙊!

3rd Game (friendly) Park 1 - 3 Pocklington.
Pock went 2-0 up but the lasses didn’t quit, a beautiful passing move cut through the pock defence 2-1 but pock got another one back 3-1.

It was an absolutely massive effort from the lasses across all three games! We officially finish the league in third place!!! 🥉🥳.

Player of the Tournament today goes to Amy!!! She chased every ball, did some amazing dribbling, passing and was always trying for the goal! Congrats!!!!! 🥳❤️

Next up: Finals Day on Sunday, 7th June at Thirsk where the ladies play for a cup!!! 🏆

On Sunday the ladies travelled to York to participate in York RI AFC - Open Age Ladies charity tournament for The Brain Tumour Charity.
It was such a fantastic sunny ☀️ day and was so well organised by York RI, for such a good cause, thank you so much!!! ⚽️.
There was some excellent football played, the lasses really enjoyed the matches seeing teams we haven’t seen in a while!

Player of the tournament goes to Cathy!! She’s always solid in every tournament she plays in and this one was no different, but on Sunday she scored an incredible goal from deep inside our own half ⚽️!!!

⚽️ RESULTS ⚽️
Today the ladies travelled to York for the most recent stage of the North Riding County Football Association women’s recreational league. Thank you to Bishopthorpe White Rose Football Club for hosting, excellent hospitality as always!

It was a beautiful day for a tournament ☀️. and with the lasses back on grass it was definitely different to what we’ve been used to, but they took it all in their stride!!

It was an absolute beast of a team performance today however POTT goes to Rosie!! As always she gave her all, but that header in the dying seconds of the last match was insane!!
