Helensburgh Bowling Club Helensburgh BC was established in 1861 and is one of Scotland's oldest lawn bowling clubs. Social Memberships (non-playing) are also available at a lower cost.

We're a friendly bunch and invite you to come on in and introduce yourself - bowls is for all ages and abilities! Club Memberships:

First year membership is just £70 for new players and FREE for those under the age of 25. Free coaching is available to members from our qualified club coaches. Our Function Hall is available for hire, with a bar and kitchen. If you would like to be one of our club s

ponsors and reach hundreds of potential customers in the local area, please get in touch. On this page you will also find entry forms for our various Open Competitions throughout the season. Just print them off, fill them in and mail them to us at your own convenience.

And that brings our **2026 club competitions to a close!**

Congratulations to **Stewart Crawford**, who has won the **Exorna Trophy** after a closely fought **21–19 victory over Veronica Bell** this afternoon.

Congratulations to Stewart on his victory, and commiserations to Veronica after such a close final. 👏🏆

With the final trophy now decided, a huge **thank you to everyone who took part in our competitions throughout the season**, and to everyone who came along to support the players during our finals.

🏆 Agnes & Fred Howie Mixed Pairs
Congratulations to John Drummond & Anne Clancy, who defeated Margaret Grant & Roger Jones 17–13 to claim the trophy.

There are still two more finals to look forward to!

Tomorrow morning at 10:30am, Liz Descoteaux & Sophia McArdle take on Irene Wallace & Anne Clancy in the Ladies Balloted Four Bowl Pairs Final.

The Exorna Trophy Final has also now been arranged, with Stewart Crawford taking on Veronica Bell on Friday 4th September at 2pm.

🏆 FINALS DAY RESULT 🏆

Congratulations to Alan Air, who rounds off a busy day by defeating David Wilson 21–16 to win the Muirhead Handicap.

It’s Alan’s second trophy of the day, having also won the Gents Presidents this morning, as well as finishing runner-up in the Gents Championship this afternoon. A fantastic day of bowls! 👏🏆

Commiserations to David after a great run to the final.

That brings the first day of our Finals Weekend to a close, but we’re not finished yet!

Tomorrow we have two more finals to look forward to, with the Ladies Nominated Four Bowl Pairs and Matthew Dickie Gents Pairs both getting underway at 2pm.
