Service Pupil Advisor Helensburgh and Lomond My Role is to support children and young people from Armed Forces families in Helensburgh and Lomond Please contact me if you would like to borrow a story sack.

The Service Pupil Advisor is a unique role created by Argyll and Bute Council to provide advice and support for the large numbers of Armed Forces families and young people in the Helensburgh and Lomond area. This temporary post is funded by the MOD Education Support Fund. My role is to act as a key contact and point of reference for Armed Forces families. I also contribute to the development of tr

aining for staff to help raise awareness in schools of issues facing Armed Forces families in our area. This is achieved through the PLC Group

The Service Pupil Advisor aims to strengthen the pupil voice by supporting MKC groups, RNRM Youth Forum and the Forces and Me Group in Hermitage Academy. The creation and managing of Story Sacks – Books and resources specifically about a parent being deployed/separation, moving house, starting a new school, friendships, families separating and more.
