It was a great day overlooking Loch Katrine yesterday. Bike ride and walking took us part way along the southern shore and then great soup at Pier Cafe in Stronachlachar. The colours are fabulous.

Robert Bull and family from Idaho enjoyed sailing with Cruise Loch Lomond Ltd across Loch Lomond from Luss to Balmaha where John guided them up the Druim Nam Buraich route on a climb of "The Conic". There is nothing particularly conical about "The Conic", whose modern name is an anglicised version of this steep sided little mountain's Gaelic name, "Cnoc", which means "Steep little hill"!

We enjoyed guiding groups today from the cruise ship Silver Endeavour. Showing them the attractions of Rhu and Helensburgh was a real joy especially in such great weather. Thanks to Destination Helensburgh for organising the visit and to Glenarn Garden for sharing their stunning garden.
