My intention is to create an inspiring and joyful place for students to reconnect with themselves and navigate presence and self awareness. I have been practising yoga for 8 years, initially as a dancer I found yoga through my love of movement. It wasn’t until I began to learn the true meaning of the linage that I really fell in love with the practice and now allow these teachings to ripple throug

h my life. I feel truly blessed to be able to share my passion as a teacher and feel much gratitude for the wonderful community it creates.

On Wednesday we lost my amazing Dad who peacefully passed away surrounded by family 💔

My Dad had dementia with lewy bodies so I’ve already been grieving a version of him for the past 3 years, but it hasn’t made the pain of knowing I’ll never see, hug or speak to him ever again any easier.

I take comfort in the fact you’re at peace now Dad, that you no longer have to continue fighting the nasty illness that frustrated you and stripped your quality of life. I’m unbelievably grateful that after battling dementia for 3 and a half years you never forgot who I was. You knew I was your daughter, Bobs, and that I loved you so much, and always will.

I’ll be forever grateful that the girls got to have a grandad like you for the small amount of years they did. Although your hands lost the ability to feed yourself, they still managed to become a spider to get the girls right until the very end. Thank you for the love you always showed them, I saw it in your eyes and I’ll never forget that.

I asked my Dad a few times in the last 2 weeks of his life, to give me signs that he’s still with me, and he’s followed through on his promise, I feel your presence Dad and I know you’re still with me. 🤍

I miss you so much already. If I’m honest I still don’t really believe it and am struggling to process this loss, losing a parent feels like part of your roots are lost too. Thank you for everything Dad, I will think of you, love you and hold you in my heart forever. I know a part of you will live on in me🪽

The ways I’ve been looking after myself recently 🤍

Whether you’re feeling overwhelmed, stressed, burnt out, unwell or you’re going through something difficult, I hope the things on this list might give you some ideas of ways you can look after yourself.

Take what resonates, leave what doesn’t, your version of taking care of yourself doesn’t have to look like anyone else’s.

It all starts with you.

I think we’re all aware that the wellness industry has gone a bit wild. We’re continuously sold the latest supplement, newest wearable, ice bath, red light, vibration plate and eight different powders to put our smoothies, with the promise of feeling healthier, calmer and happier. *News flash* we don’t need any of that to feel well. It’s much more simple.

I know from experience that when I strip it all back to basics (often the things that cost nothing at all) I feel the most well.

My morning routine for a while now has looked like this *most* days:

6:00 meditate
6:15 move my body
7:00 make my matcha (caffeine before breakfast at the moment, shoot me)
7:05 journaling

There’s no 43 step routine in sight.

The foundations of wellbeing are simple: sleep, movement, nourishing food, stress management and mindset.

Stress is one of the biggest contributors to many diseases and health problems, so stressing ourselves out over how well we’re doing at being well is crazy (but not surprising with the way the industry is).

Please let this be your reminder that you’re doing enough. Strip it back, take inventory of the things that really make a difference and the things that add stress, and start to create your own rituals and routines that work for you (even if that means routines don’t work for you).

You are perfectly unique and your approach to wellness should be too 🤍
