My intention is to create an inspiring and joyful place for students to reconnect with themselves and navigate presence and self awareness. I have been practising yoga for 8 years, initially as a dancer I found yoga through my love of movement. It wasn’t until I began to learn the true meaning of the linage that I really fell in love with the practice and now allow these teachings to ripple throug

I LOVE this simple technique and have been using it years. I recently taught it to Tullulah for when she experiences big feelings, and she utilises it a lot (and teaches her loved ones which is the sweetest thing ever, baby yoga teacher in the making).

Some affirmations you might use:

I am feeling calm
Peace begins with me
I get to choose
I’m in my body
I am safe here

Simple, grounding and something you can do almost anywhere.

How you start your day is more important than you think 💭

It doesn’t take much time or effort to implement small habits and rituals that create a postive ripple effect, that carries you through the rest of your day.

You don’t have to wake up at 5am, just before you give your attention to everything else, give a little bit of it to yourself 🤍

Moments of loveliness lately 🤍

1. Teaching outside, its one of my greatest privileges to provide a space for people to calm their nervous systems and feel more centred and grounded 🌞
2. My inspiring baby girl who teaches me so much every single day (and calls me out on my own BS, she’s 4!!!) ♾️

It’s actually been a really difficult couple of weeks because my lovely Dad has been so unwell but there are always glimmers of happiness and joy and I really try to focus, acknowledge and feel gratitude for them. Sharing this because this post couldn’t be more of a HIGHlight reel amongst a lot of tears, heartbreak, low energy (not sharing that for sympathy, just want to remind you its very easy to share the parts that make life look effortless) 🤍

Don’t underestimate the power of these micro moments of mindfulness. It’s essential to have some self regulating tools in your back pocket as a mama.

Carving out just 5 minutes a day consistently over time will have an impact.

Taking time to yourself isn’t selfish, it’s vital. Our children learn from what we do, not what we say and modeling to them that it’s a priority to look after your health and wellbeing is important.
