Time to rest, breathe & relax... πβ¨
As human beings, it can't always be the "norm" to rush everywhere, to hurry through life, to dash from one place to the next, never really having time to be present. To notice things, to slow down, to breathe calmly.
As a full time mum and business owner, my god do I feel constantly in a rush, spinning SO many plates at once. I'm very conscious not to have my phone out around the girls, and try my hardest to keep working time and family time separate, but of course there are only a certain amount of hours in my day and sometimes the lines of working mum and present at home mum blur.
I decided from last year that whenever I was on holiday from teaching, I would take a proper holiday from my Yoga business - no emails, no social media, no admin, and WOW! I can't tell you how much more my time off felt like rest. How much more time I had to just be present with my little family. My girls need their Mama to be fully present and to be really honest, my brain needs and craves time to spin a few less plates every now and then!
So from now until next Saturday, I'm taking just over a week off to spend some special time with my little family to really soak up every second of these magical childhood years where me and Ben are off together and the girls are little. I'm sharing so you not only know I'll be replying to messages or emails after then, but also so any other Yoga Teachers, if you're in the same position as me - it's OKAY to take moments to pause. To rest. To slow down. We have to practice what we teach π€
