Nia barefoot dance with Julia Hi and welcome to my Nia page. I will be sharing with you Nia news, events and classes both locally and across the UK.

During my first Nia class I smiled from my core! Over the last 8 years it's been my weekly anchor and brought a lightness and so much fun to my life. Nia is an expressive workout, blending martial arts, dance arts and healing arts into a powerful and exciting routine. So take off your shoes, get ready to move your body's way and lets go!

Hello my lovely Nia friends

16 months on and my journey back to health continues to be my full time job.

I feel it’s only fair to acknowledge my reality and that teaching Nia classes is for now and the foreseeable future not part of what I can share in and offer.

It was a treasured year in my life and great fun to dance with you all.

Thank you all for your support and kind encouragement over what’s been the most challenging year of my life ..... I know I will find my way back to balance.

I wish you a peaceful Christmas time and wonderful health in 2019.

I’ll leave this post up until after Christmas and then I will close this group. Thank you all for being with me.

Hello lovely Nia dancers 💗

I’m sorry I’ve been so quiet. It’s with a heavy heart I write this. I so expected my next post to be sharing a taster session to ignite our classes again....

I’m still having regular balance therapy with Bradford Balance Centre (they’ve been my life line- so grateful)

I’ve recently had another CT scan as this BPPV is dragging on and on and maybe there is an underlying issue they’ve not found yet...

I honestly have no idea when I’ll be back sharing Nia, I would never have envisaged this journey.... but I’m well and truly on it and determined it transforms something deep in my life...

Happy New Year to all you lovely Nia dancers.

Thank you for the kind messages many of you have sent.

I am making small steps with my return to full health and consequently I'm having to really listen to my body and continue to put my nia teaching on hold for now.

You'll hear me shouting from the roof tops when I'm back!

Hello all lovely Hebden Nia dancers xx I hope I've managed to be in touch with you all individually - but I wanted to pop out a post just to let you all know where we're at with classes.

I'm slowly and gently making some progress, the labrynthitis has evolved into vertigo and makes it very challenging to dance!!

So...I'm really listening to my body and what it needs to heal.

I'm determined to be really well and back to full health to begin classes again in January.

Isabelle welcomes you all to her Nia class at Todmorden Health Centre Mondays 5-6pm (drop in and no charge)

I'll keep you all posted, thank you for all your support, understanding and encouragement.

What a fabulous vibration we created this afternoon at the Methodist Hall in Hebden during our Nia dance.

Great fun, jam packed space and lots of smiles!

Hope to dance with you all again - you're welcome to come and taste the new routine starting on Wednesday 8th November 10.15am or 7pm.
