Look at this set of strong beasts 💪😍 All on an absolute high at this evening’s class, after a finisher of heavy swings to celebrate our teeny Nina’s 60th birthday! 🥳

One of the best things about my job is coaching people throughout each milestone in their lives - some really great times and some really not! But seeing people turn up each week, getting stronger and supporting each other, no matter what, is what it’s all about! ❤️

Christine Brown is strong… doing chin ups at the age of 72… yes, 72! 😍

She loves outdoor sports and goes off sea kayaking all over the world 🌊🚣🏼 Last year she told me that she was struggling to get out of the sea and into her kayak, so we started working on some different upper body strength exercises in classes.

She’d been doing active hangs and banded pull ups for a few months in classes and last summer she succeeded in getting from the sea back into her kayak 🥳

She didn’t believe she could do a chin up without the band, so yesterday I suggested she tried (because I knew she could!)

Here she is doing some L-sit chin ups, just in case normal ones aren’t hard enough 😂 💪🤩

She’s always so inspiring to me and the rest of the group! 🌟

I want to be like Christine when grow up! 😍❤️

Fully booked for 121 and classes - more classes being added to the timetable in 2026 with the help of the above coaches 😍

Most importantly, huge amounts of strength, support, laughs, courage, coffee, chaos and community ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

Last weekend one of the studio members, Vicky Butcher, completed the Lakeland 50 Ultra Race in just over 17 hours and I am so, SO proud of her! 🏃🏻‍♀️💪🤩

For those who don’t know, the Lakeland 50 is a huge achievement as it’s one the greatest ultra trail challenges in Europe. Runners have 24 hours to complete 50 miles, with over 3000m of ascent, over very rough terrain! 😅

Vicky has come to my classes since 2019, doing 2-3 strength/power sessions per week, which have more recently been focussed around movements to assist her with her running program.

I’m in awe of her mental and physical strength that took her through this race and I’m already excited for the next challenge! 😍

Well done Vicks, very proud of you! 👏🏼🥳❤️

We all train for many different reasons. Nele Kröner has been visiting her family back in Germany and was at Oktoberfest at the weekend. After 18 months of kettlebell classes she can now hold her maß properly 🍺💪😂

Probably one of the best reasons to train! 😉 Joking aside, Nele is an absolute beast, I love watching her lift and we all love her being in classes ❤️

Next year I reckon you go for one in each hand! 🍺🍺

Yesterday some of the studio members set off to achieve the goal they set last year, to climb the Yorkshire 3 Peaks this summer! Pen-y-Ghent, Whernside and Ingleborough - 25 miles. ⛰️⛰️⛰️

After this week’s heatwave, we were wondering if we’d need to rearrange but the Weather Gods were good to us and it was slightly cooler than it had been with a nice breeze, so all good! 🌤️🥳
We left Hebden at 4.30am to get started at 6am, fuelled by caffeine ☕️

Lots of coffee, water, electrolytes, sun cream, sweets (or jelly cubes!), sweat, laughing, positivity, support and strength meant everyone smashed their goals in under 12 hours! Well done everyone, so proud of you all! 💪🤩😍👏

The Wednesday evening kettlebell class decided last year that they wanted to do the Yorkshire 3 Peaks as a class goal this summer 💪 So this morning some of the class and some of their friends walked up Pen-y-Ghent to get in the first of the training walks, in preparation for all 3 at the end of June 🤩💚 Everyone did great and we had a lovely morning out walking in the sun (and wind!) ☀️

If anyone from other classes in the studio/online wants to join us for any of the training walks (or for all 3!) just let me know and I’ll give you the dates that they’ve planned out for the next walks 😘

Story time! 📚 This week in February always brings back a memory for me and Georgia. Georgia came to me in January 2019 as a young athlete - a Figure and Speed Skater. She had badly torn her adductor muscle whilst skating and needed help with strength rehab.

Valentine’s Day 2019 Georgia walked in to the gym for our regular session. I could tell from looking at her that she was in pain and anxious about it. After a quick conversation we decided the session wasn’t a good idea but that instead we’d get a coffee and go on a walk. Not only would this get Georgia moving but I knew that mentally it would make her feel much better (and it was a cute Galentine’s date) 💘😂

The sessions that followed continued to be successful. My main goal with Georgia was to improve her hip function and to add stability to her very mobile, but not very stable, joints. Plus give her confidence again in her body, as this is often lost when the body has been through trauma. We worked on various things, including single leg work, trunk stability and of course the Turkish get up, which is a movement that includes all of this and much more. Photo in comments shows her early progress towards regaining the ability to hip hinge.

Anyway, long story short! Georgia left to go to uni in London in September 2019. Thanks to the lockdowns I started to offer online training and Georgia still trains with me to this day from London, with her ever growing collection of kettlebells ❤️

Her boyfriend (who is also coached by me now!) bought her a 32kg kettlebell for Christmas (top tier present) and this week I received this message off her “I swung 32kg x 5”. Here she is doing sets of 3 💪

Huge progress from where she was 4 years ago and I am so, so proud of her! 😍🤩 Georgia is playing the long game and continues to want to get stronger so she’s able to live a healthy and pain-free life and I absolutely love to see how much stronger she is in every way 💪🥰❤️

Rita (the woman behind Doris at The Lofty Perch) doesn’t get asked to draw these photos. She just wants to do everything she can to support local businesses so draws their logos and puts her own stamp on it 🦆🥰 She did one a few years ago for me too, before I had the studio.

Such a lovely person and I know many people in the town, myself included, are very grateful for all your support! Thank you very much, we love it! ❤️
