Another fantastic Friday for our juniors at the club tonight.

All Stars Cricket were in full flow with smiles all round. It was great to see the parents involved in the games too, always the best activities!

Our U9s & U13s were in action tonight too.

It was an especially positive night for our U11s, who had a really good session tonight.

Thanks to everyone who came along & supported us tonight.

The weather forecast looks a bit dodgy from 5:00pm with a 60%-70% chance of some rain... fingers crossed that it misses!
Regardless of the weather, we have the fabulous Wheels of Fire Pizza Co - Pizza Van spinning out the good stuff from 5pm onwards, plus our exceptionally World Famous Happy Hour for our fabulous parents!

*Forshaw’s Fledglings March On*

Another great win for the under 13’s last night beating South Shields by 6 wickets to make it 2 in a row.

A great team performance with Matthew Henderson named player of the match with 4 wickets including a hat trick and a good knock with the bat to get us off to a great start.

The boys are working hard in training & deserve all the credit for these recent wins!

We are delighted to announce that the club are hosting a Girls Dynamos Cricket course on Thursday 23 July 2026.

Durham Cricket Foundation are running the course, which is free of charge, to encourage more girls into cricket. This is a great opportunity to experience a fun day at the club and playing some cricket.

A catch up on Sundays action from our junior teams who were at 3 different locations with 3 new juniors making their team debuts.

Our U9s were away to South Shields, back to back weeks against the same opposition. Some cracking batting, bowling and fielding from everyone involved. Also a great debut for Isabelle and Abigail.

U11 Gold put on a much improved display, batting first and after losing early wickets, the second half of the innings saw very few wickets fall & plenty of runs scored. Bowling and fielding were again much improved from last week with wickets shared around and two excellent run outs.

U11 Maroon hosted a very strong South Shields team. The team stuck at it. It was brilliant to see Teddy bat great and hit a 4 on his late call up debut! Shout out to Henry for a great catch near the boundary too!

There was a pot of gold at the end of the rainbow for our U13 at Boldon CA Cricket Club tonight as they secured their first win of the season.

A great team performance with the wickets shared around with:

x3 Aaron Hedley
x2 Declan Bentham
x1 Matthew Crawford, George Forshaw, Eddie Taggart & Matty Henderson.

A fantastic, mature innings of 28* from Alastair Ruddock saw the U13 win by 7 wickets.

Our U9s and U11s are in action this morning. The U9s entertain South Shields Cricket Club with a 10.00am start whilst our U11s Gold team take on Gateshead Fell Cricket Club. The U11s start at 9.30am.

Unfortunately there is no game for our U11s Maroon as the opposition are unable to field a side.

Another amazing night at the Quay.

All Stars Cricket U9 U11 & U13 in action in the sun.

Batting, bowling, fielding & some dedicated wicket wicketkeeper training was on the schedule!

They were joined later by the brilliant BQCC representatives from Gateshead East Ladies Team who had their latest game tonight.

The future is definitely bright!
