From today, Freedom Leisure no longer manages Heathfield Leisure Centre. It has been our pleasure to serve the local community and to realise our vision of improving live through leisure. We hope to see you again very soon at one of our Freedom Leisure centres near by.

Following the extremely sad news of the passing of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, the whole country is now in a period of mourning. The period of National Mourning is a time for reflection in response to the demise of the Sovereign and will continue until the end of the day of her State Funeral.

Up until the funeral, we feel it is important that our centres continue to open as normal, delivering a vital service to the local communities in which we serve and improving both the mental and physical wellbeing of all our customers through sport and exercise.

However, as a mark of respect and to allow our colleagues to mourn with friends and family, we have decided to close all our facilities on the day of Her Majesty’s State Funeral – Monday 19 September.

It is with great sadness that we learn of the passing of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II.

The Queen was an inspiration to our nation, the commonwealth and indeed the world.

Her commitment to serving the nation will never be forgotten.

On behalf of everyone at Freedom Leisure, we offer our deepest condolences to the Royal Family at this time.
