With most resolutions being fitness based, I thought I'd share with you some ways on how to stick to them!

My biggest tip, small changes lead to big results. Break your goals down in to smaller more sustainable changes. Make sure they are realistic goals and celebrate your little wins! Take each day as it comes and remember that you are not alone! πŸ’œ

🦊 My motivation! 🦊

Here's my little Tommy and he has been my workout buddy since he was around 8 weeks old. He used to come with me to my Pre and Postnatal fitness classes and regularly comes to our little gym to join in with our workouts.

Exercising with your kids is so important. πŸ’œ For him, exercise is a normal part of life and just something that we do. Dont get me wrong this morning I could have easily have gone back to bed, without his cute little nudge I probably would have 🀣 And just to prove we did it, there's Tommy with a Kettlebell... 🀣🀣

My kids are my biggest motivation. I want to stay fit and healthy for them and be a role model for them. πŸ’œ

Phew! I have just finished my gym session and oh my goodness what a workout. But I feel soooo much better for moving my body and lifting some weights! πŸ’ͺπŸ’ͺ

It can be so hard to stay on track over the christmas period. Our usual routine is out of the window, we are busier than ever visiting family, doing Christmas activities and not to mention having the kids off on school holidays.

My biggest tip for this time of year is to take the pressure off of yourself. It doesn't matter if you skip a workout because you cant fit it in. Or if you eat more than you usually would.

Heres the thing, sustainable fitness journeys need to fit it with you, with the time you have available and with what is going on around you and that fluctuates! So... so can your workouts... sometimes πŸ˜›

If you want to stay on track and you don't want to lose your progress you've made so far, you could try:

🦊 Splitting up your workouts in to shorter workouts to help with limited time.

🦊 Set yourself a time each day to get something done, remember something is always better than nothing.

🦊 Don't understand estimate the power of walking! Try to keep your step count up. Go out for a walk with the family or your friends and try to hit a couple more thousand steps than you usually would, if you haven't got time to workout.

Take the pressure off yourself and do what works for you at this moment in time. πŸ’œ You've got this πŸ’ͺπŸ’œ

I hear it all the time and it makes me so sad when women are trying so hard to 'stick to their diet' or feeling like they haven't got any where because the scales haven't moved.

The first thing we work on in our sessions, whether that's one to one, small groups or classes is your mindset. Taking your focus off of the sad step (aka your scales) and pushing your focus towards your achievements.

Its been a busy day with one to one and group sessions today! And we are not done yet! πŸ’ͺ

This time of year can be do hard for motivation! Its cold, often wet, work is busy, Christmas is coming and there's lots to prepare, if you got kids the school demand is second to none!

BUT try not to let that stop you from reaching your goals. Schedule in some time for yourself, get out for a short walk, pop to the gym, book a one to one with me πŸ˜› what ever it is just do it. πŸ’œ I promise you, you will feel better afterwards.
