Heanor town wolfpack v Heanor jrs 20/04/25

Todays game seen the wolf pack take on local rivals Heanor jrs in an arranged friendly captaining Heanor town was Tijan badjie.

Heanor jrs took the eairly lead but the wolf pack was quick to answer with Tijan dribbling through the defence placing the the ball nicely in back of the net to bring it level.
Harry put the Wolfpack in front in the 1st half with a superb goal from the wing.

After half time it was Tommy to give the Wolfpack a 2 goal cushion with a lovely strike at goal.

Shortly after Heanor jrs managed to get one back.

Harry Taylor was the one to answer to there goal with another brilliant shot to give heanor town that two goal advantage.

To finish the game off Caleb who’s been playing in a different position to normal out on the wing and up front managed to find the back of the net.

A brilliant game for both teams in today’s friendly but it was Heanor town who walked away with the bragging rights this time round.

Some amazing saves from Reuben keeping the score low as he could helping him out was Oscar making some important tackles and even having a go up front aswell just missing the target a couple of times one being a free kick.
attacking the opposition today was Harry, Tommy, Tijan and Caleb all managing to find the net.

Well done to all the Wolfpack and well done to Heanor jrs for putting up a fight having some brilliant chances and making some wicked saves and thankyou for hosting us. Look forward to our next meeting

Caleb Robertson- played in a new position and took to it well. Making some brilliant runs down the wing and fancying his chances up front and delivering a beauty of a goal.

Heanor town wolfpack u’7s v Redwood colts Milan u’7s

Today’s game seen the wolf pack take on redwood colts in the reverse fixture of the season, today’s captain was Blake westbury-Spencer.

Both captains headed to the centre of the pitch to do there duty’s. Blake won the kick off for Heanor.

It was the Milan boys who took the eairly advantage from an unfair challenge missed by the referee. The ball was put in to Heanors box the boys was scrambling round, Reuben came to collect the ball when one of the redwood players went in with studs showing making reuben drop the ball and redwood putting it in back of the net to take the lead.

The next few minutes the two teams seeing chances narrowly missing the target, it was Heanor who levelled the score from one of Reuben’s big kicks the opposition brought the ball down under control for mason to nick it off him, powering through the colts defence and a powerful strike seen it fly in to top of the netting.

The game was on now and wolf pack and redwood was both battling.

A indirect free kick was awarded to Heanor. Mason and Harry both standing over the ball, Mason tapped the ball forward for Harry to hit it just missing the top corner.

Back down the other end of the field the ball was put out for a redwood kick in near the corner . The colts shot from the kick in and seen it go in the back of the net. Heanor appealing the goal as it’s against the rules seen the ref say it was a corner kick and awarded the goal.

Taking it on the chin and straight from kick off the wolf packs Blake passed it out to Harry on the wing, he took on numerous plays before shooting from the far right side of the pitch megging the Milan’s keeper in the process bringing the scores level within 20 seconds.

The 1st half was drawing to an end and has seen some great football played. Just before the half time whistle confusion from Oscar and Reuben and a clearance gone in the wrong direction, Heanor found they was picking the ball out back of the net once more.

Half time and the boys come in for a deserved drinks break.

Redwood took to the centre for the kick off.

The wolf pack was quick to even up the game from Harry Taylor’s dribble in, he dribbled past not one but two Milan players before firing his shot in to the top corner.

Few minutes of what was end to end football, Heanor was able to take the lead for the 1st time in the game. Reuben making a save did one of his big kicks again, this time controlled by Blake, turning one of the colts players he seen Tijan making the run in to the box. Playing a nice ball through Tijan he worked the ball past the redwood defence and finished it with style.

Heanor boys was hunting for more goals now to further there lead. Mason was brought down on edge of the box for a free kick. Mason stepped up to take it and hit a lovely curling ball only for it to rattle the cross bar and out for a redwood goal kick.

The game was In the dying stages of the game and redwood scored two back to back goals and was looking like they would take all 3 points.

There was no more time left for the Wolfpack to equalise once again as the ref blew for the final whistle. The boys shook hands and congratulated each other.

Another unlucky defeat for the Wolfpack, but the boys gave it there all throughout the game just couldn’t see it out. Well done to all the boys involved.

Harry Taylor- was a pain for redwood down the wings today, when asked did an amazing job in defence too making some brilliant tackles and Scoring 2 cracking goals aswell.

Mason Holland- grabbing him self a goal and was very unlucky not to get two more especially the one hitting the cross bar what’s still ringing now. Held up the ball well upfront and made some great tackles.

Codnor sports tigers v Heanor town Wolfpack
6/04/25

Today’s game seen codnor tigers take on the Wolfpack on a bright sunny morning. This week leading the Heanor team out was Mason Holland.

It was codnor who won the kick off in the 1st half. Both teams started well with some brilliant football and some amazing tackles. Heanor came closest in the opening stages with Mason just missing the target. Codnor was fighting back but Reuben was there to stop them in there tracks.

Another missed chance by the Wolfpack with Harry Taylor putting the ball In to the box for Tijan and Tommy who couldn’t get there toe on it.

It was codnor who got the first goal putting them in a position of advantage.

Two minutes later Tijan badjie made a tackle on half way mark lifted his head and played a lovely ball through all the codnor players to Harry who controlled it nicely and placed it past the condors keeper.

Half time whistle went. The wolf pack was unfortunate not to be going in to the break with the lead

The Wolfpack took centre kick.

The game was evenly matched by both set of teams.

It was codnor who once again took there chance of a dropped ball putting in to the Heanors net.

Heanor was unlucky not to get a few goals with Harry, Mason and tommy all coming close to the codnor goal. It just wasn’t happening today for the Wolfpack and couldn’t convert there shots to goals.

Full time whistle went. All the boys shook hands and congratulated each other and made there way to the half way line to receive there medals from the league.

Many opportunities was missed in todays game and a disappointing result for the Wolfpack especially after recent results it just wasn’t there day. Codnor came out the better team. Well done to all the boys involved some good football played and good sportsmanship from both sets of players.

Managers player- Tijan badjie- put in the effort today making some great tackles and got an assist by playing a lovely through ball to Harry.

Parents player- Reuben hunt- was the busiest player on the pitch making some great saves again and even saving one with his face but got up and battled on.

Belper united raptors u7’s v Heanor town wolf pack u7’s 30/03/25

Today the two teams come together for the reverse fixture where Belper went away with the points back in February. Today captaining the wolf pack was winger Harry Taylor

Belper was awarded the centre kick 1st and the game was on the way.

It was Heanor who was on the front foot to start with making space and playing some magnificent football.

Two minutes in to the game wolf pack gained a corner kick. Harry Taylor stepped up to take. Putting the ball in to edge of the box defender Caleb Robertson was there to control the ball and hit it from edge of the box soaring it past the raptors last line of defence to give Heanor the lead.

Over the course of the next ten minutes Belper was quick on there feet and scored three consecutive goals putting themselves In a good position in the game.

Heanor now had there work cut out, Harry picking the ball up around the half way mark taking on a Belper player he seen Blake running in to the box and played a through ball down the middle, Blake hit it first time with the outside of the boot curling it round into the bottom corner.

The raptors was able to give themselves a two goal cushion again but was only for a matter seconds. Harry from the left wing crossed the ball putting it right on masons toe who converted it nicely.

The 1st half was coming to an end the Wolfpack was looking like they was going in to the drinks break behind. Mason wasn’t going to let that happen making a decisive tackle on end of the area, using his skill took on the raptors defence hitting it cleanly in to the bottom corner, bringing it level for the 1st time in the game.

Half time whistle went. Both teams went in for much deserved drink and rest what a first half it’s been.

Heanor with the kick off this half, it was Belper who was quick off the mark this time and took the lead once more.

Four minutes later Harry won the ball mid way in to the raptors half using his pace he pulled away having a shot just outside of the area he beat the keeper at his near post bringing the score level

Straight from belpers centre kick Harry intercepted the ball just Inside there half lifting his head and a glance at goal he took his opportunity and smashed it in to the right hand side of the net.

The game was end to end nothing like it was in the previous fixture, Reuben making some incredible saves his end of the park and Caleb and Oscar putting everything in to defending so Blake, Mason and Harry could do the business other end of the field.

Belper yet again found another goal to bring it all square for the 4th time. Not many minutes left to play, was either team going to find the winner?

After numerous battles down the left wing. Today’s captain Harry won another kick in close to the raptors goal. Tapping it In and couldn’t find one of his players to make a pass he took it round a Belper player and took a swipe at goal it curled round going in to the bottom far corner giving his side a goal advantage again and what would be the match winner as a couple of minutes later to the relief of the coaches the final whistle was blew.

Heanor and Belper players and coaches came together and shook hands in what was a brilliant end to end game. Some amazing football was played and some brilliant goals scored from both sides today.

Well done to Belper for giving it there everything but a massive well done to the Wolfpack for turning the game round numerous times not giving in when they went behind and getting another win to make it 5 on the bounce.

Parents player- Caleb Robertson- brilliant throughout the game like a brick wall at defending making it hard for Belper to get through. Getting his name on the score sheet from a screamer outside of the box. Well done.

Managers player- Harry Taylor- captained his side to another victory and what a game he had cutting in on the left wing. A hat trick of assists and a hattrick of goals one being the match winner, what more could you ask for out of a captain.

Heanor town Wolfpack v mickleover flamengo 23/03/25

On a great run of form, the wolf pack was looking to make it 4 on the bounce in this fixture and doing the double over mickleover.

Today leading the team out was Heanors Mason Holland. The usual rock paper scissors was played and falling in the flamengos favour.

Mickleover taking centre kick Heanor was straight on there case coming closest to goal in the first 5 mins with Mason rattling the post from a through pass from Blake.

It wasn’t long before the 1st goal of the game. Blake finding himself in the right place at the right time and fired home a Curling half volley from a back pass from the flamengos putting Heanor in the leading position.

Acting quickly to going a goal down the away team brought it level by a player being left wide open in the middle of the pitch, he received the ball from the wing and slotted it past Heanors keeper.

With the game even both sides was battling Caleb and Oscar making some tremendous tackles. Tijan, Harry, Mason, Tommy and Blake all coming close.

Harry Taylor made a tackle in his own half turned another mickleover player and sprinted down the right wing lifting his head spotting Mason in the box, putting in a supurb cross the flamengos shot stopper had no chance of saving masons screaming strike.

Half time whistle went and the boys came in for a deserved drink break and a team huddle.

It was the wolf pack turn for centre kick. For the 1st 10 minutes it was a close end to end game. Tommy was closest in the opening stages on two occasions, 1st one tackling a player just out side the box and hitting it just wide the 2nd was from a free kick near the touch line a brilliant attempt but hitting it just shy of the target.

Some changes was made for the wolf pack bringing back on Oscar, Harry and Tijan.

Harry was straight in to the action winning a corner kick. Curling the ball in it was heading for the back corner of the net and a flamengos player stuck a leg out deflecting it in back of the net.

Minutes later Mickleover got an easy tap in the ball bouncing round in the wolfpacks box like a game of pin ball made its way to an open player who got the easy goal.

The game was dying down with under a minute to play Heanor committed a foul in the box awarding Mickleover a penalty, if they score it would bring the score level, who was going to be the hero? A flamengo player? or Reuben?.

The ball placed down on the spot the mickleover player trying to compose himself, Reuben making himself as big as possible jumping side to side trying to distract his opponent.
The ball was kicked everyone held there breath and Reuben did a heroic save to keep his side with all 3 points.

Booting the ball away the referee blew the full time whistle. Both teams joined together for a friendly handshake.

What a game it’s been again and what an ending to top it off. All the Wolfpack should be proud of each other for another great performance.

Parents player- Tommy haslam. A outstanding effort today, was a pain for Mickleover to deal with down the wing going forward he was unlucky not to get himself a goal. Also getting back and helping defending when he was needed.

Managers player- Reuben Hunt. Some brilliant saves was made today. Commanding in his box to his team and put his body on the line. Most importantly being the hero of the day making the penalty save to give his team the win.

Well done to all the boys of Heanor and mickleover all putting in a shift and some amazing football was played.

Little Eaton diamonds lions v Heanor town Wolfpack 16/04/25

Today fixture seen little Eaton take on the Wolfpack for a brilliant box to box game for a second time round. Today captaining the wolfpack was defender Oscar smith.

Both captains meeting in the centre circle to do there duty of rock paper scissors, this time falling in little Eaton’s favour.

Straight from kick off both teams had locked horns battling, both having there own chances either end of the park, Harry Taylor coming the closest from one of his long range free kicks rattling the post. Some great saves from Heanors keeper Reuben and Oscar making some outstanding tackles in the first quarter to keep the scores level.

Changes were made for heanor bringing on super subs Tijan badjie and Caleb Robertson.

Bagging a brace last week Tijan was full of confidence and got right in to the action.
Harry putting the ball up field to Blake, using his quick feet he skinned a diamond player and played the ball across the goal for Tijan to place nicely past little Eaton to break the deadlock lock.

Wolfpack keeping the lead till the half time whistle, the boys came in full of smiles and for much needed drinks break.

After the team talk it was Heanors turn to take the centre kick. Eaton boys was quick
Off the mark this half putting the ball past Reuben to bring the scores level.

The lions pounced again shortly after taking the lead this time putting Heanor on the back foot.

Thriving under pressure last couple of weeks the Wolfpack got back
In to the game . This time Tommy haslam taking the ball from the half way down wing and delivering an astounding cross for Harry to volley home bringing the scores level once again.

Little Eaton winning a free kick just in heanors half, the shot was deflected out to an unmarked lions player who took his chance and lobbed Reuben to gain the advantage.

What a game in has turned into both teams
Have been working hard throughout this second half.

The Wolfpack being awarded a corner Tommy stepped up to take it, again putting the ball right on Harry’s volley for the third time this game equalising the score.

The clock was ticking down, two teams both looking for the winner, Heanors shot stopper Reuben who’s taken a battering in the last 5 mins lined up one of his long drop kicks. Putting everything in the kick Blake who has ran his socks off all game found himself in a great position controlling the ball, taking a glance at goal he lobbed the diamonds keeper to grab him self the winner in the dying seconds and a fully deserved the goal.

The boys shook hands after the final whistle whistle all of them should be proud of them selfs some brilliant football played by each and everyone of them.

Man of the match goes to the whole of the wolf pack squad all of them put in the graft today with Reuben making some great saves, Caleb and Oscar putting in a Stirling performance in defence. Tommy putting in the work on the wing getting two assists! Harry levelling the score twice in the game, Blake getting the winning goal running his socks off and getting an assist and last but not least Tijan for coming off the bench and making a real impact straight away and grabbing himself his goal to get the boys going.

What a game it’s been and a rollercoaster of emotions. Well done boys 👏👏👏

Heanor town Wolfpack v mickleover flamengo

After last weeks win the wolfpack went out full of confidence. Leading the team this week was our very own Blake westbury-Spencer.

Mickleover started strong was was pressing hard towards the Heanor goal what lead to the 1st goal of the match.
Putting the wolf pack on the back foot the boys wasn’t phased by it and Mickleover wasn’t in the lead for long. Tommy took centre kick passed to Mason and made the run down the wing. Mason using his skills took on a couple of players seen Tommy open and played the ball out wide. Making his move in to the box. Tommy put the ball back in to the box for Mason to tap home bringing it level.

Shortly after mickleover found them selfs taking the lead again after the ball fell at there feet from a clearance from heanors defence.

Some beautiful football being played and chances either end of the field, Reuben calmly collecting the ball in his area seen Tommy making a run and open out on the right wing, Reuben booted the ball, landing perfect for Tommy to be able to control it take on one of the flamengo defence and slotting it perfectly in to bottom corner to bring it level once again.

Not wanting to let Mickleover back In to it Heanor turned up there game. Blake making a run down the left wing using his skill put in a lovely ball for Tijan to smash past the flamengo keeper.

Now Heanor was having fun, Oscar who was a brick wall at the back today cleared the ball out to Harry who seen the opportunity for a shot and that’s what he did. Putting the ball in the top corner mickleover keeper had no chance of stopping.

Wolfpack boys didn’t want to ease up on the flamengos and wanted to rub more salt in to there wounds. Reuben doing another one of his long kicks to the opposition box Tijan wanted to get his name on the scoresheet again and was in the right place at the right time to place the ball once again in the back of the net.

The half time mark was fast approaching. Reuben again wanting a hattrick of assists booted the ball this time finding Harry. Lining up his shot he put his foot straight through the ball, Mickleover couldn’t do nothing but pick the ball out there goal once again.

Half time whistle went and wolf pack come in for a much needed drink break and a team talk. Smiles was all around and the boys was buzzing with themselfs and rightly so.

After the half time break, wolf pack wasn’t giving mickleover anything. Tommy who’s been a pain for them all game on the wing seen the keeper fumble to ball using his quick thinking nicked the ball off him played it across the goal mouth for Mason to do a nice easy tap in.

Hungry for more goals and scoring for fun today, heanors Harry Taylor collected the ball on the half way seen Tommy making the run played a lovely one two, finding himself open once again in the box Tommy called for the ball, Harry put the ball right on Tommys toe for him to smash home for his second of the game.

Easing off the brakes, Mickleover started to get back in to the game, Heanor was on the receiving end twice in the matter of minutes picking the ball out there net for centre kick.

Game was drawing to an end when Tommy was brought down just inside the flamengos half. Harry placing the ball down for one of his signature free kicks, hitting it sweetly he got his hatrick of the game.

A brilliant display by the Wolfpack in today’s game. Credit to mickleover there boys kept there heads held high and battled throughout just wasn’t there day.
Well done to each and everyone who played in the fixture. All should be proud.

Was his second ever game and he’s slotted in just nice in the wolf packs defence. Was a brick wall and made some great tackles throughout and getting himself an assist.

Ran his socks off all game wasn’t much of the pitch he didn’t cover. Was awarded with 2 goals in today’s game and fully deserved them.
