One of my ponies TC having his TTouch session with Gill Spells. Helping to keep his body and his mind in good shape. I’m so pleased with him, he stood really well on the pads and got lots of release. I always feel better after one of Gills sessions too.

Even from the youngest age I think it’s important to learn to watch the horse and to do our best to hear what they are saying to us.

Here I was working with George and his pony Malt.

Often in our lessons we use the agility obstacles as a learning aid and to really ramp up the fun 😀

We worked together through the Noodle Squeeze. Starting very wide and with only two noodles. George observed Malt’s behaviour and help to decide if Malt felt ok or needed help. When Malt felt ok we could change the obstacle by adding more noodles or making the gap narrower.
When George noticed the Malt needed help, we discussed how we could help him feel more confident and like he was being listened to.
Together we made adjustments to the exercise until both George and Malt could do it together happily 🥰 Then we even had a little ride through too.
Children really are the future and will change how the next generation views horsemanship.

There’s always one…..if you are lucky anyway.

There’s that one horse who comes along unexpectedly and offers you so much more than you ever thought.

That one horse that make you look more closely, think more quickly but act more slowly, to feel things from another perspective.
The horse that teaches you every time you are together. Teaches you about them, about horses you haven’t even met yet, about yourself, about the life in general really.
This is mine ❤️
