A little bit about the people behind The Be Collective 🤍
We’re Bryony and Silas — and if you’ve known us for a while, you may remember us as Be Yoga, which we opened back in 2014.
Yoga had already been part of my working life for years. I started teaching in 2009, after my first teacher training, and had always dreamed of creating my own yoga studio.
But the reason it became a reality was also very personal.
At the time, Silas had become seriously unwell. He was living with Ménière’s disease and had a heart attack at just 37, while we had two very young children. It changed the way we thought about health, work and how we wanted to live.
Wellbeing stopped being something separate from everyday life. It became part of how we navigated everything.
Over the years we’ve both continued studying, training and exploring different approaches — yoga, yoga therapy, meditation, Buddhist practice, Reiki, sound therapy, somatics, restorative practices and more.
And our work has evolved with us.
Now, in midlife ourselves, we’re increasingly interested in longevity, recovery, strength, nervous-system health and feeling well for the long term.
That’s where the newest part of The Be Collective comes in: Be Well, with sauna, cold plunge and recovery alongside everything we already offer through Ember and Soma Luna.
It’s all connected for us: movement, rest, heat, cold, breath, sound, community and having somewhere you actually enjoy coming to.
And Clover, obviously, remains an essential member of senior management. 🐾
If you’re new here, come and say hello. You absolutely don’t need to already be “good at yoga” or know what you’re doing. We’ve been welcoming people through these doors for more than a decade, and we’d love to welcome you too.
