What a day we had at this year’s HHGC Charity Day. With 140 people playing on the day, and others in attendance to support, it was a really special day. Finley's Touch charity were here to help and witnessed plenty of variety from the 17th tee! The Edwardson Hut supplied the refreshments for the players. Thank you to everyone that helped on the day and to those that brought food, it’s really appreciated by the players. We had raffle ticket sellers out in force, starters on the 1st tee and loads of work behind the scenes from the staff to make this a day to remember.
From a golfing perspective, we had a "Beat the Pro" on the 7th. 29 of you got closer than the Pro. Thanks to Tony, Tommy and Chris for helping out. The competition was won by Charlie Wallbank, Kevin Murray, Patrick Murray and Lloyd Fielder with 118 points.
The main purpose of the day however, was to raise money for Finley's Touch With the entry fees, raffles, silent and main auction plus sponsorship and donations we raised over £21,000 on the day!! To all those who supported the day, in whatever way, thank you very much.
The day ended with a fabulous BBQ and live music. Thanks finally to Mark Blundell, our Club official photographer for his great pics.
