League game against Poets Corner 09/10.

A game of two halves this one, 12 players available, in the first half this was the best defensive display we have shown all season, we frustrated the opposite team to the point they were arguing with each other and had to change tactics completely, they were playing on the ground and trying to get past our defence but we were a solid wall, they then tried balls over the top which they more joy with but we ended the half on a high.

The second half we had 2 players injured so started the half with 10 players and once we ran out of steam and energy that's when Poets Corner fully took control of this game. Josh had a number of shots at goal but mostly went straight at the keeper.

We move on to next week and I have high hopes if we can get the numbers and also the same resolve we had in the first half of this game. Taylor gets player of the match, he was still recovering from the flu and was coughing throughout the match but still managed to keep his levels in defence.

Friendly away against Lindfield Juniors U16

Nice brisk morning, we had 14 players today which is a good turn around as we only had 9 4/5 weeks ago with more signings coming...

Every player did well and points of the game we dominated, we scored two goals today, one from a kick off, Leon did a smart spinning light touch from kick off, Josh then hit the ball perfectly and the ball dropped over the goal keepers head for an amazing half way finish, 4 goals in 5 games for Josh who is in rich form.
Josh was also provider for the second, a deft touch to turn the defender on the outside of the left hand side of the box and the defender tripped him in the box for a penalty. Leon stepped up and put it bottom right for a very nice penalty goal.

We go back to the league next week.

Cup game Vs Brighton Electricity

Another hard game, a few of the boys picked up injuries the week before and carried them into this week. Had 13 show up and 3 did not complete the match, to be fair to the other team they did give us one of their players which I thought was a nice touch.

New signing Sam had his first run out and although he is new to club football he did not stop running and listened to instructions well, always called for the ball and tried to be positive when in procession.

Another goal and even with our struggles Josh is in fine goalscoring form, he got his 3rd goal in 4 games.

Josh received the ball from Bobby outside the D and placed a low shot which took a very small deflection into the bottom corner of the net. Some really nice goals from Josh so far this season.

Josh was also our captain today and he used his voice well.

Home game Vs Plumpton horses. 12/10.

2 new signings signed this week and played their first game, what signings, energy and communication, once they get settled in and training they will be a great asset to the team.

Again low on numbers today even with the two signings, 12 players in total. Every boy worked hard today and I'm proud of their effort and the fact they never gave up, credit to them.

New boy Reece was our player of the match today, considering he had never played a competitive game before he was composed, played the ball well and ran and ran and ran, did not stop running for 90 minutes and chased every ball, was a joy to watch.

One goal scored today and Josh brings his total goal count to 2 for the season, Josh was outside the edge of the box under pressure, cuts inside the defender and shots to ball into the top corner, that goal will be very hard to beat for the goal of the season, Bobby with the assist, his first goal involvement for Bolnore so well done Bobby and Josh.

Cup game next week, we carry on and continue to work hard.

Another tough game, again short on numbers, 11 turned up and stayed on the pitch for 90 minutes, these boys turn up every week and I appreciate them.

There were spells in the game we were better and I think we were unlucky to not create that golden chance for a goal, keep battling boys.

AWAY VS COLDEAN COLTS 28/09

Very very tough game, after playing Coldean last season we knew this would be hard .... What made it harder was only 10 players available.

As you can imagine not many chances in the match, we had two injury's in the second half, one a knee and one a thigh ..... Both looked serious but hope they are ok for next week.

So for about 15/20 mins we had 8 players, Coldean being the good sports they are also then took some of there players off, they don't have to and we didn't ask them to so well played for fair play.

We did manage to get a goal which was well taken by Josh, Dom the GK did a big kick from an offside, it bounced around and flick off of one of the Coldean players and Josh ran onto it to leave a one on one situation with the GK and he calmly slotted home.

26-1 loss.

Away game vs Fisher gate flyers.

As this team was in division 3 while we were in division 5 last season we always knew this game was going to be hard.

On the back foot most of the game, Taylor in defence was a joy to watch, easily stopped 10+ shots at goal with his speed, tackles and clearances.

We did finally have a new signing at the game today so welcome Kieron to the fold. He came on with 30 minutes played and had great energy levels and got stuck in, communication was brilliant and definitely a player we need moving forward.

We had 3 chances at goal, a couple from Josh and one from Kieron but just could not find that final ball.

22-0 loss and we move forward to next week.

CUP GAME VS LINDFIELD CROCS 14/01

Never seen such a game of two halves!!!!

First half 7-0 to Lindfield crocs, we had 0 shots and one corner.

Second half 2-1 to Lindfield crocs, we had 4 shots, 3 on target, 1 goal and 4 corners.

The goal was an inswinging corner from Sayers and a big jump and header from Will.

Brilliant effort from all the kids, to come out and play the second half like they did was a joy to see and witness, if we play like that every game we will get something by the end of the season.

First game of the season done!!!

Lost 17-0 to Poets Corner, boys worked hard and there were a few players that constantly ran and worked very hard. Again for effort we can't fault the lads.

BOLNORE JUNIORS U16/U17 BOYS TEAM.

Bolnore Juniors FC are still looking for new players for the upcoming season. If your son is not getting enough playing time or looking for a new challenge in a fresh set up then please contact me directly.

Our boys are very friendly and are a great bunch of lads, we have FA qualified coaches who are on hand to improve any player.

We train every Thursday and our matches are on a Sunday, we are also one of the cheapest clubs around due to the fact that we are classed as a charity. We have great sponsors like Damian Turner Painter&Decorator.

We are looking for boys who are of the age of 15 or 16.

A very proud day for Bolnore FC, we have won the respect award for the 24/25 season. We aim to be professional and respectful to every team we come across and it's great to get an award to acknowledge this, hopefully the start of many trophies to come to Bolnore FC in the years ahead.
