The Ultimate Showdown. The Biggest Celebration. One Epic Day.

The Sussex 7s Series Grand Final is where champions are crowned and the competition reaches its wildest peak. This isn’t just a rugby 7s tournament, it’s the culmination of months of fierce competition, community spirit, and non-stop action across Sussex.

It's a big showdown between The Matt Ratana Rugby Foundation 7s vs Heathfield & Waldron Rugby Club in the Men's 7s to see who will become the 2026 champions and Heathfield & Waldron Ladies Rugby look to become back-to-back and outright winners in 2026.

NEW – if you have not seen it yet, we have a BRAND NEW concept we are excited to launch in Haywards Heath. A competition designed for the forwards only (and FREE if you have a 7s team already in the Grand Final), read more about the “Super Scrum Contest” online.

U18s End of Season Tournament – after feedback from the 2025 Series, we have decided to focus the Colts 7s Tournament at the Final of the Series. Entry fees for this are reduced. Therefore if you have not confirmed your U18s teams please do so asap!

Sussex Women and Girls Rugby – we want to take a moment to congratulate the Sussex Women who secured the Gill Burns County Championship Division 3 title. We are glad to have had several of the players join us on the Series over the past few years, and look forward to welcoming them on the Series again!

After some unforgettable rugby (and forgettable weather), there have been some fierce rivalries across Sussex, and it all comes down to one last day...

The Sussex 7s Series Grand Final.

The county's best men's, women's, touch, and walking rugby teams will battle for silverware and the ultimate prize of being crowned Sussex 7s Series Champions 2026.

Expect the best local rugby 7s, all day entertainment, and a celebration of everything that makes Sussex summer sevens special.

Wet, wild, WONDERFUL rugby 7s! 🏉

A huge THANK YOU to every player, coach, referee, volunteer, sponsor and supporter, and of course our AMAZING hosts Burgess Hill Rugby who made Leg 2 such a fantastic day of rugby despite the rain!

We had...

✅Torrential downpour
✅40kph winds

BUT WE STILL HAD

✅Rugby 7s (swan dives!)
✅Walking Rugby (walking on water!)
✅DJs all day (flooded the stage!)
✅AND LOTS OF BEER (pouring the pints!)

From the first kick-off to the final whistle, the energy, competition and community spirit were incredible 🫶

As we pull up to Leg 2 of the Sussex 7s Serries 2026 at Burgess Hill Rugby on the 6th of June, the home crowd will be cheering on their home 7s franchise for a BIG clash at Poveys Close.

💣THE SUPER SCRUM CONTEST 💣

A showcase of PURE FORWARD POWER alongside our 7s competition.

At the Grand Final on the 11th July 2026 at Haywards Heath Rugby Football Club

People keep trying to kill the scrum contest. Well... we’ve given it A NEW LIFE!

HOW DOES IT WORK

PART 1: ELIMINATION STAGE
- A pack of 5 forwards from a squad of 8 push a scrum machine between two points which are 10-meters apart.
- You have 30 seconds to reach the finish line otherwise you are eliminated.
- The weights will increase each round until we are left with only 5 teams.

PART 2: THE FINAL FINISH
- The remaining five teams take it in turns to cover 10 meters, in the shortest time possible, with the same weight.
- The Fastest time wins!

TEAM ENTRY
- Maximum squad of 8.
- Separate Men’s and Women’s categories available (adults only).
- Teams can enter from anywhere in the country.
- No weight or club restrictions.
- £50 per team (FREE entry if you have a 7s team in the Sussex 7s Series).
