FULL TIME | Hayle AFC 1–3 Sticker AFC
A frustrating afternoon at Trevassack Park as Hayle fell to a 3–1 defeat against the current league leaders, Sticker.
The Greens produced an excellent first-half performance and deservedly went into the break 1–0 ahead, with Noah Tanner finding the net.
However, the opening 45 minutes also saw Hayle dealt a huge amount of disruption, with three substitutions forced through injury. One of those was goalkeeper Caleb Hendy, meaning a reshuffle was required and several players were forced into unfamiliar positions.
Aidan Murphy stepped in between the posts and put in a fantastic performance as Hayle’s makeshift No.1, producing a number of important saves and handling the situation brilliantly.
The enforced changes inevitably affected the shape and flow of the game, and Sticker showed why they currently sit at the top of the table, turning the contest around after the break to eventually take a 3–1 victory.
Plenty of positives to take, and we’ll certainly look forward to the return fixture. 💚🖤
