We’re really excited to get all our junior players back on court and ready for another term of tennis, fun and development! 😊

🎾 MIDWEEK JUNIOR TENNIS IS BACK! 🎾

Our midweek junior tennis classes restart from Tuesday 1st September, and we’re really excited to get everyone back on court! 🙌

If your child was attending a midweek junior group before the summer holidays, you don’t need to do anything — we’ll see you next week! 😊

HOT Date for Club Players

Our annual Random Doubles tournament came to its conclusion in the heat of last Sundays sun.
3 matches took place our show court, mens final, Ladies final and the mixed semi-final (final played this Wednesday).
There were some tough, tense contests, the pick of which was the Ladies with Anna Ashton and Claire Blaszyk taking on June Lawrence-Reid and Vasilisa Gerasimenko. The later emerging victorious after a thrilling 3 set match ( 6-2, 4-6, 6-7 ).
Hayle’s Random doubles competition is a `lucky dip’ really, open to all club members of all abilities. You can literally end up partnering anyone in the draw for each category and the is what makes it exciting. So join our club and look forward to possibly playing in next years club tournament.

🎾 Songhurst Bassett Championships 🎾

On Saturday 4th July, the Penzance and Hayle 18&U teams took part in the annual Songhurst Bassett Championships.

The competition sees players from both clubs compete in singles and doubles matches to earn points for their club. With 17 players taking part, Penzance were able to field two teams.

All players competed well and showed good team spirit throughout the day. For some, it was their first tournament, and they performed very well.

Penzance finished in 1st and 3rd place, with Hayle finishing 2nd. 🥇🥈🥉

Thank you to Sammy for organising and running such a great event, and well done to everyone who took part.

Something a bit different this summer – sign up solo and we'll randomly draw your partner for you! Whatever your level, this is the perfect chance to meet new people, mix things up, and have some fun on court.
Three events to enter:

🟢 Mixed Doubles
💰 £4 entry per event, payable to John Williams

📋 Sign up in the clubhouse before 1pm on Sunday 13th July – that's draw day, when your partner gets picked!

Fun in the Sun!
We staged our Hayle Tennis Club annual Open Day last Saturday the 9th of May and the weather was kind to us.
So many youngsters of all ages turned up with their parents as spectators .
for free coaching that morning.The 2 courts allocated were full with potential tennis stars of the future enjoying themselves.
It was the same with the 4 pickleball courts they were in use nearly all of the morning.
The day continued busy in the afternoon with both members and new adult players involved in a coaching session followed by our usual Saturday ‘social mix in’ where they play with different people to experience all kinds of play.
We are a vibrant, welcoming club so why not consider becoming a member to keep fit and make like minded friends.
