Today, we close the doors to Peak Athletics for the final time, and while this moment is undeniably emotional, it is also filled with pride, gratitude, and an overwhelming sense of honour. For more than twenty years, this gym has been a home for cheerleading and tumbling in Glossop. It has been a place where young athletes discovered their confidence, their strength, their resilience, and their love for the sport. It has been a place where families found community, friendships, and memories that will last far beyond these walls.
Over two decades, we have coached thousands of athletes—tiny beginners taking their first cartwheel, teenagers chasing national titles, and adults who simply wanted to be part of something joyful. We’ve celebrated countless milestones together: first back handsprings, first cradle, first trophies. We’ve travelled to competitions across the country, shared the thrill of big wins, learned from tough losses, and created adventures that shaped who we are.
Peak Athletics has never just been a gym. It has been a family. A place where parents volunteered, where siblings cheered from the sidelines, where coaches poured their hearts into every training session, and where athletes supported one another with a level of kindness and determination that made this programme special.
To every family who trusted us, thank you. To every athlete who walked through our doors, thank you. To every coach, volunteer, and supporter who helped build this programme year after year, thank you. You made Peak Athletics what it is. You carried its spirit, its values, and its legacy.
We close these doors with full hearts, knowing that we created something meaningful, something lasting, something that mattered.
Thank you for 20 incredible years.
