We take a share of the spoils on the opening day. Disappointing to concede a last minute equaliser, particularly after being 2-0 up but happy to give Corbridge there cup final moment after their pile on following the equaliser.
Credit to them as on balance they deserved to take something from the game. Thanks for the hospitality back at the pub.
Bait league: Surely the first time the Hexham league has seen parma ham on offer, saved by the chicken & chips. Score 6/10.
On our travels again next Sunday as we face Ryton.

After a successful pre season which saw two wins, a draw & two defeats from our five games, competitive football is back with a short trip to Corbridge awaiting in gameweek one.
Good luck to all teams, players & officials beginning their campaigns in the brilliant Hexham & District Sunday League this weekend.
Kick off is 10:30 at Tynedale Rugby Club.

It promises to be an entertaining Bank Holiday Sunday at Low Hall Park as we have the pleasure of hosting the Hexham & District Sunday League 25/26 League Cup Final between Hexham Phoenix & Hexhamshire.
The tea cabin will be open throughout the duration of the match, serving bacon sandwiches, hot drinks & cans of b**r.
Entry is £3 (u16s free), which along with the sarnies and b**rs is cash only. Hot drinks are served through a coffee machine which takes card.
PLEASE NOTE: No dogs allowed on any of the club’s grounds.
We look forward to seeing you on Sunday, kick off is 10:30am ⚽️🏆

Premier League is back this weekend and the big screen will be up and running at The Haydonian Community Lounge and Bar on Sunday for The Toon’s first game with Liverpool. Open from midday ⚽️🍺

Join us on Sunday afternoon for the first game of the premier league season for News style Vs Liverpool!!

Kick off at 4:30 but join us for a drink beforehand as we screen Man City Vs Bournemouth beforehand too.

It continues to be a productive pre season as we welcomed The Shire to Low Hall Park this morning. All of the 17 man squad played their part with fresh legs proving the difference as young Geordie scored a late winner after local hero Cam Robson’s first senior goal brought us level.
Cheers to Shire for the game and for coming back to the bar after the match. Good luck for your semi final next weekend.
One more pre season fixture at home to West Road Tavern next Sunday before we host last season’s cup final on bank holiday Sunday where the Nixy play either Shire or Allendale.

A productive evening despite going down 5-2 to Allendale last night. A much improved performance both in and out of possession with valuable minutes gained across the pitch.
A good showing despite being dubbed ‘the worst starting 11 seen in the Hexham league’ by a fellow gaffer who wasn’t even at the game 🤔
Many thanks to Allendale for hosting at short notice and for their hospitality after the game. Good luck for the upcoming season lads.
We will hopefully be returning to home soil for the first time this pre season with a game against Hexhamshire on Sunday ⚽️🔴⚫️
