This morning, my eldest suggested a lovely wholesome idea that he’d go for a bike ride at the side of me while I went for a run around the village. Fresh air, quality time, fitness… perfect 🤔

What I didn’t realise was that “together” actually meant him being 10 yards ahead the entire time shouting, “Come on old man… hurry up old man… run faster old man!” 🚴‍♂️🏃‍♂️

Not sure if I felt motivated or personally attacked… the joys of having kids 😅

I really do have the best group- thank you 🙌🏻

Sessions usually run every Tuesday, people plan their weeks and have busy schedules. Last night I dropped a message in the group to say I needed to move the session to today (Monday) it’s not ideal, but you packed the hall out and gave it 💯 starting your week strong- blown away by your commitment and efforts 💪🏻

I have a busy life, family, children, high pressure work in sport and our regular Tuesday is something I look forward to. That’s why I don’t charge subscriptions, hefty fees and sign ups as I appreciate we all have busy times every now and then and need that flexibility 🥊

Thank you for your understanding this week and I look forward to getting back to our Tuesday slot next week- have a great week everyone 👊🏻

I used to think every workout had to be brutal and numerous times per week 😰

If it didn’t feel extreme, I thought it didn’t count.

That worked once — when circumstances were different.

But life changes.

Kids arrive. Work gets busier. Sleep disappears. Real life takes over.

And then I realised something that completely changed how I look at progress with fitness:

I was comparing myself to a version of me that lived in a totally different part of my life.

That’s the trap so many parents fall into.

You don’t need “all or nothing” training 5 days a week.
You don’t need the intensity you had before kids.

You just need something you can repeat.

Some sessions will feel great.
Some will feel average.
Some will just be a quick tick in the box.

They all count.

Because 60 minutes you can stick to once or twice per week for years will always beat 2 hours you can’t keep up 5 days a week

So if you’re a busy mum or parent trying to stay fit, remember this:

It’s okay to train differently at different stages of life or even less.

Don’t compare your now to your “before”.

Just turn up. Do what you can. Leave feeling a little better.

That’s what real progress looks like now 🥊

Happy International Women’s Day! 🥊💪🏻🥊

I’m so fortunate to spend part of my week coaching an incredible group of women at our Boxercise class. Every session is full of strength, determination, personality and support — and it’s amazing to see how everyone pushes themselves while lifting each other up 🙌🏻

The group shows up, works hard, cheers each other on and proves that strong really is powerful. I’m so proud to be part of it!

Blue sky hits differently ☀️ 🧘🏼‍♂️ ☺️

Thank you to everyone that has attended a class in February- you have smashed it! We’ve had busy classes, lots of hard work and it’d been a pleasure to deliver the sessions with the people we have in the room 🙌🏻

This was my view walking the dog today and it got me excited for the months ahead; lighter days, warmer weather and more time outdoors. Mix this with exercise, sleep and good nutrition and it’s a recipe for success 💪🏻

Here’s to staying on track in 2026 and following those health and fitness goals 🤞🏻
