Clements Squash Club Based at one of SE England's finest leisure facilities, CSC is an active and welcoming club providing members of all levels the opportunity to play Squash

Based at one of South East England’s finest leisure centre facilities, Clements Hall Leisure Centre, we are an active and welcoming club providing members of all levels the opportunity to play squash and socialise in a friendly environment. We have approximately 100 members and hold regular competitions and leagues throughout the year. For players who enjoy the competitive nature of competing against other clubs, we enter 2 teams of varying levels into the Essex League.

On 10th September the Club starts its Essex league campaign on our newly refurbished courts.
We will play the following teams. All home matches start at 19:00 hrs (7pm).

If you are local, please come down and support the team in their home matches.
We have a good squad of players, but like football clubs, always seeking to improve the team. If you play, enjoy and are good at squash join our club. You may get the chance to represent CSC.

The refurbished courts may have been dusty and the smell of paint lingered coupled with the intense heat may have put some Racketballers off their game.

But not those who played today in the Clements Racketball Open ( open to current and former members).

Very competitive pool matches led to Chris Peer and Chris Purkiss meeting in the final. Both ex club members

Chris Peer ( travelled from Brixton, South London) beat Chris Purkiss (who travelled from Kings Lynn) 3-2 (6,11, 11/8, 11/8,7/11, 11/9 in 37 minutes).

A magnificent final and Chris Peer retained his title.

Club committee thanks everyone who entered and hope to see you all and those who were injured in 2027.

These maybe uninteresting photos but to those who play at Clements Squash Club, they are special.

Since COVID the Club Committee have pressed for the courts to be upgraded. Thankfully the new Centre managers EveryoneActive found the money and arranged for England Squash contractors to refurbish the courts.

The walls and floors on all six courts have been upgraded along with a new glass door for Court 5. Coupled with the new LED lights, the players are enjoying playing both squash and racketball on these courts.

Thursday 28th CSC travelled to Kingswood. We lost 2-3. A good night of squash which was made special by the enthusiastic marking by young Ronnie. Potential PSA ref.

After the squash we enjoyed conversation and a Pizza with a few drinks.

Today Clements Squash Club, held its annual Squash Championship. Despite the withdrawals through injuries, the matches were played in a friendly competitive .

No one will forget James Pratt giving his all and collapsing on court or the improvement compared to last year Wayne Woodcraft's form.

The Ken Hastings Trophy was won by Wayne Woodcraft and the Runner Up was Elaine Oddie.

The Men's Championship was won by Paul Hodge ( who retained his title), runner up Matt Gilmore with Brad Foster finishing third.

Thank you to all the players, markers, supporters, and Everyone Active who provided a much needed table and Chairs.

Clements Squash Club are happy to announce that Alex Walton has been appointed the Club Coach.
He is a level 2 coach with an up to date DBS and First Aid Certificate, and undertaken a Safeguarding course.
He comes highly recommended with a strong family interest in both squash and racketball. He has set tough aims and objectives of helping improve our Essex League team, as well as developing women's and junior sections.
Everyone Active has appointed Alex as the Centre's squash and racketball coach.
Everyone at Everyone Active and Clements Squash Club supports and send their best wishes to Alex on his appointment.
