NEW 6 WEEK BEGINNERS’ KETTLEBELL SPORT/CONDITIONING COURSE.

Start Date: Monday, 2nd February.

Venue: Hawick Kettlebell Sport, Galalaw Business Park, Hawick.

Time: Monday/Tuesday/Wednesday (you pick two of these 3 sessions) which run between 6pm/7pm.

Strictly Limited to 6 new participants.

Cost: £50 (6 weeks/twice weekly training).

Awesome weekend as we hosted Hawick’s first ever kettlebell Sport event in the gym on Saturday.

A total of 30 lifters from throughout Scotland, including lifters from Garioch Kettlebell Club, District 13 and Phoenix Kettlebells, travelled to take part in the Pentathlon competition with some outstanding lifting on show.

Nine Hawick lifters took part with three lifting for the very first time.

The ‘hottest’ lift of the day was the female open 60/70kg category which attracted 7 lifters in total which included international athletes.

Hawick Kettlebell Sport’s Laura McColm claimed top spot with an outstanding 1197.75pts with Garioch Kettlebell Club lifters Laura Bowman and Rhiann Stagg finishing in 2nd and 3rd place with 1131 and 1116 points respectively!

In the same category Hawick lifter Jenny Nichol racked up 1044 points, with Jenny Sutherland and Nicola Sutherland showing huge promise with 735 and 573 points for their lifts.

The Hawick club claimed another two top spots when Lesley-Anne Grieve won her veteran 1, 60-70kg category with a solid total of 1048 and Suzanne Bain, veteran -60kg flight, racked up 984 points.

Hawick’s Lisa Hedley came 2nd in her category, open 70+ kg with a solid 1014 points and Bronwyn McGeorge claimed 3rd place in her lift with 900.25 points.

Hawick’s sole male lifter, Robert White came 3rd with 1190 points in the open 85kg category with 1190 points.

You’ve got to respect this though huh?

Jenny Sutherland started training with us in July and has dropped 2st + blitzed the body fat, is stronger, more mobile and mentally tougher.

How did she do that? 🤔

Jenny, a busy mum of two who runs her own business has been consistent with both training and nutrition, turns up even when she doesn’t feel like it and gets the job done!

The end result…she looks and feels awesome.

AND…next month she’ll take part in her first ‘kettlebell sport’ competition.
