Young Teries Future Champions Awards The programme has been developed to support and help fast-track young sporting talent from Hawick, the potential medal winners of the future.

The YOUNG TERIES Future Champions Awards plan to become a five-year programme funded by Langholm based charities which have strong Hawick connections and local group, Hawick Sings, to be delivered and administered in partnership with Future Hawick. The programme is a unique partnership with schools and sports clubs and is designed to cater for young athletes who live in Hawick and the surrounding area, who are in education or the early stages of their career/employment and have the ambition to fulfil their sporting potential. The programme aims to reduce the drop-out of talented athletes from sport due to academic and financial pressures as to reach the top often requires a lot of time spent travelling to Edinburgh or Glasgow or even further afield.
