Well first of all, I would like to thank all of the amazing people that turned up and give us one amazing send off on Sunday. We have left on a high. What a good crack, great atmosphere and awesome vibe it was. The run, the Sun , the beer, the presentation , just brilliant.
Massive thank you to all our Marshallβs, DJ team, time team, the raffle queens, all our sponsors who supported past and present, our photographers , the people who constantly shared our events. Chick ( Total access)and his lads and Crell for the scaffolding start lines, they were class. Big thanks to CGP who were our main sponsors this year and paid for the baseball caps which I think are class. We canβt do it it with out none of you. Thank you to all the people who have took part over the years. You have travelled from all over the world to take part in little all 7 Miler. Masseeeeeeve thank you to The Ski Bar, who have let us use them as our race HQ over the years and it has been a cracking ,beautiful place to have it. It is my favourite place to hold an event. Your hospitality , the prizes you give us for the raffle, the food, the drink, you have helped us in every way possible with no fuss, it has all been amazing. Sooooo grateful.π
On Sunday we raised a brilliant Β£2650 for the North West Air Ambulance.
It started off as an idea one day, to organise a 10k run (Lighthouse 10k, 88 took part)to just get people out and about and also raise money for charity, then after covid ,the 7 Miler came . So after doing abit of number crunching last night, all our events have raised about Β£16,500. No way did I think we would be raising that amount for various charities and that is down to all of us.πππ
Iβve always tried to do my own way of things , not boring and tried to make it fun and on Sunday we had 150 sign up to take part and we couldβve had so many more. Which shows how far we come, but I couldnβt have done none of this with out my wife ,Emma βwere never f###ing doing this againβ Gribbin.π. It has had its stressβs, but we have loved it at the same ,but itβs time to take a bit of time out. Iβm not even aloud to organise a quiz night next year .ππ So Sunday was our last one. Thank you to all the lovely messages we have received. Makes it all worth while.πand Jon Bailey for my nob head trophy , just π.π
If any of the running clubs who have been so loyal to us over the years ,needs a Marshall, Iβm here and to all of you that took part that needs anything at all in life , Iβm here.
Thank you and Adios all.
Love Laurie ,Emz and the 7 Miler Team.ππππ»
