Our end of season presentation afternoon is a real highlight of the year for both the players and supporters.

We’ve grown in numbers again this year so needed a bigger venue to accommodate 100 players, parents, siblings and supporters.

It was a great way to celebrate an enjoyable season.

Our yellow team recently concluded their league season in a searing hot encounter with local rivals Brightlingsea Regent Youth Football Club

Both teams battled diligently in extreme heat on the 4G at The Colne Community School.

Our blue team played in the Blueprint Ballers Summer series this morning at Tottenham Hotspur training ground.

A great experience for the boys and a well earned draw with a goal in the dying seconds of the game.

As coaches we steer clear and allow the players to have their own voices.

On Saturday we took the full squad to Assault Your Senses for a team building event.

The players ran, climbed, crawled, scrambled and swam their way around the challenging course on a cold afternoon alongside the river Orwell.

We saw fears conquered, boundaries pushed and new skills learned. The players had to work individually and in small teams learning that nobody gets left behind and anything is possible.

The post run pizza and brownies were well earned and much needed.

Huge thank you to Nick and his team for making it such a fun and worthwhile afternoon for us all.

And this is why we love grass roots football, it makes the cold mornings, tired evenings, setting out pitches, cleaning boots, looking for lost water bottles, miles and miles of driving and sideline emotions all worth it for moments like this.

An enjoyable post Christmas run out for our blue squad today at the Norwich City FC Winter Cup hosted by Haverhill Rovers FC

Losing finalists however it was not just a great morning out the boys played really well.

This morning some of our players (and parents) took part in a 2k or 5k Sausage roll run along the Wivenhoe trail.

Post run the players convened at Barrells of Wivenhoe for a sausage rolls and coffees.
