Six divers headed off to Selsey to dive the historic outer Mulberry Harbour which was used during the second world war. As we arrived we were treated to two dolphins flying by. Upon descending we explored the outside and swam through one if the compartments. We saw a shoal of bib, a shy lobster and eels hiding in their holes.

We did our bit for the environment by removing some fishing line before surfacing. We had a long drive back against the wind and waves which took two hours and included a diversion. The last day of the Clipper round the world yacht race was taking place. We had an excellent view of the action as we cruised by.

We had a glorious sunny weekend in Kimmeridge, 13 divers enjoyed a variety of dives, snorkelling and other water based activities. Some enhanced their boat skills (possibly they need to learn not to drive like Miss Daisy), furthered their diving training and skills. Others found treasure (depending on your version of treasure!) All enjoyed the time underwater, spotted various fish, beautiful seaweed and a wreck for those who like rust metal and wood.

Yesterday, six of our divers joined the Nautical Archaeological Society to dive the protected wreck Holland 5, one of the first submarines built. She sank in 1912, whilst being towed.

We saw several huge lobster and congar eels peering at us from their holes.

The water was was a reasonable 12°, on a stunningly sunny day.

Some of our club members dusted off their kit for the first time this season for a dive under Swanage Pier. It was slightly colder than expected at 9°c and only a couple of feet for visibility but enjoyable none the less.
