Solent Thrashers Women's Team Full contact women’s American Football on the South Coast. We train at Havant RFC:
Saturdays 9-11am
Mondsays 7-9pm

Want to join the squad?

All you need is a pair of football boots and a gum-shield. Founded in 2016, the Portsmouth Dreadnoughts Women's Team offer the opportunity to play full contact American Football. Contact Football requires players to get kitted up and develop techniques, many seen in the NFL. Suitable for players 16+. Training is open to all, from beginners to more experienced players. Monday 7-9pm at Havant Rugby club.

🏆 THAT’S A WRAP ON OUR SEASON.

Our 2026 season comes to an end as we’re defeated by the Birmingham Lions in the NWFL Playoffs.

But what this team showed today was something we can be incredibly proud of. 💛

From the first whistle to the last, the team showed true togetherness, fought for each other and battled until the very end. That’s what being a Thrashers is all about.

It wasn’t the result we wanted, but we couldn’t be prouder of the fight, commitment and heart shown by this team today.

Thank you to everyone who has supported us throughout the season. 🖤💛 and thank you to Birmingham Lions Women for being great hosts as always.

We travel to London this afternoon for our last regular season game as we take on the London Warriors.

It’s been a season full of hard work, resilience and determination, and today is another chance to finish the regular season on a high before the business end begins.

A small change that means a lot. 🤍

As our programme continues to grow, so does our identity.

Today we’ll wear our very own white jerseys for the first time, replacing the mens kit we’ve shared with the club in previous seasons.

It’s another exciting step for the Solent Thrashers Women, and we can’t wait to take the field in them.

With “Don’t Cry. Don’t Die.” stitched into every jersey, we’re ready to get to work. 🖤💛

It’s our final home game of the regular season, and we’re ready to battle it out with the Teesside Steelers!
