Founded in 1888 HCC has always been a focal point for community activity during the summer months, and remains so today. The Club runs two teams in the Devon League on a Saturday, with 1st and 2nd XI currently playing in the A Division (The 2nd Highest Tier in the Devon Cricket League), and on Sunday two teams compete in the North Devon League. A team will also be playing in a Midweek evening leag
ue throughout the summer, The Buckley Cup, in 20/20 format. With several Friendly Matches against other local teams and touring teams from around the country, there is plenty of opportunity for players to take part at all levels. The Ladies Section goes from strength to strength. The club will once again be entering a team in the Women’s Devon League and will also be playing in several tournaments throughout the County. As for Junior cricket the club is proud of its involvement and every year we coach around 70 boys and girls from the age of 8 upwards. Please look out for the registration evening towards the end of April. Aside from the playing side Hatherleigh CC is fortunate to have a well supported bar which is open on all match day and practice evenings throughout the summer. It also has a reputation for some of the finest teas in the county on all match days. These are available to spectators as well as the teams, so there are plenty of reasons to visit HCC throughout the summer.
