Heart and Sole Runners are just 3 and a half weeks away from their epic challenge this year- Embrace Ultra Three Castles Ultra Marathon- 31 miles on the 30th May.

When they started the training for this it was extremely cold and felt like every long run was in the rain and now- they would welcome a passing shower! ☔️ 🥵

They are over halfway to their initial target of £1000 with a final push in the next couple of weeks.

We wish them all the luck and can’t wait for those finish line celebrations 🥇 🥂

We are on a mission to raise a total of £4,000 this year to enable a rehabilitation programme for stroke survivors in our local community to continue!

The programme has been a huge success so far however a lack of funding means they will have to come to an end shortly.

According to the Stroke Association:

💥 Stroke strikes every five minutes

💥 100,000 people have strokes each year

💥There are 1.4 million stroke survivors in the UK

With your generous support, we aim to fund East Sussex Healthcare NHS Trust and Active Sussex to continue to deliver activity sessions within Bexhill Hospital's Irvine Unit for groups of patients recovering from strokes.

Heart and Sole Runners are taking on the epic challenge of running a 50km Ultra Marathon on 30th May to support this vital fundraising effort. Please take a look at their fundraising page for more information and to donate if you can.

Yesterday the Level 1 Sports students at East Sussex College ran some events to raise money for us. They had a cake sale, guess how many sweets, and a range of gym challenges and raised an amazing £94.74! 🙌
