The one fixture in the Hastings F A Veterans League tomorrow should be a closely fought encounter with FC Parker 99 Veterans hosting Sidley United Veterans. The match is at Bexhill College Sports Centre and kicks-off at 11 am.

BIG MATCH LIVE!
Following back to back wins in the County and League Cups, FC Parker start their Veterans League campaign against Sidley Utd Vets tomorrow. Both teams have some real quality in their side so it's sure to be another great battle between two potential title contenders.

💪Powering On💪 A really tough game this weekend as we played host to Westfield FC Vets. A side we lost to only a few weeks before. The first half saw some great football being played by both sides - the visitors coming closest with a strike tipped onto the bar by Parker's MOTM, Andy Ball.

The second half was more fruitful for both sides. Westfield had a goal disallowed for offside then went ahead after a brilliantly worked goal down the right wing. But Parker answered immediately with an exquisite Anton Neil free kick. Neil caught the keeper drifting and unexpectedly whipped it inside the near post from range. Parker then took the lead, as Linton Rogers finished off a fast paced move from inside the box.

The remainder of the game was a tense battle, but Parker managed to hold on to their slender lead until the final whistle. This leaves us needing just a point from our final game, to become champions.

We'd like to wish Westfield the best of luck in their upcoming Cup Final - as well as a quick recovery to their player who left the game with a nasty head injury. Thanks for another great game of football 💪

👍 Thumbs Up 👍 We were back to winning ways on Sunday with a victory away at Sedlescombe Rangers Football Club. We went ahead early on from the spot - Anton Neil slotting home with composure. Then not long after Anton made it two, with a strong shot the keeper struggled to keep out. But that was the last of his struggles as he pulled off a series of top class saves, putting a stop to any momentum we had. This saw the home side get back to their feet and claimed one back towards the end of the first half. Moving in to the second half we upped the pressure and kept control of the game. Until finally, in the remaining 15 minutes, Gavin Moffat-Bailey built on our lead with a clean half-volley into the back of the net, followed soon after by a well deserved goal from Linton Rogers to make it four. Thanks to Sedlescombe for playing great hosts and good luck to them for the rest of the season.

Sunday's poor cup result left us all desperate to turn back time. We think we may have overcooked the time-machine on this one.

👎 Thumbs Down 👎 Sunday saw FC Parker 99 stumble out of the Veterans Cup after a frustrating defeat to Westfield FC Veterans. We fell behind early on due to a sloppy defensive error. Then responded immediately, pulling the game level with a great team goal, finished off by Tim Doe. But before we had a chance to build some momentum, we'd given away a penalty - and our chance of cup success. Best of luck to Westfield FC Veterans in the final! 🌳🍀

Unfortunately for the people of Milan, Ticehurst roofing wasn't around in 93/94. But had it been, it would have made a very fitting sponsor. Other than Paolo, you wont find anything more watertight, secure and impenetrable than a Ticehurst roof.

🫧 So Fresh & So Clean 🫧 Sunday saw us take on league leaders Bexhill AAC 3rds & Vets. The game was highly contested from start to finish with chances (and challenges) flying in for the whole game.

Parker dominated in the first half, scoring all three and securing the game early on. The first came from Scott Ticehurst who latched on to a loose ball following a corner. He slotted it home and got us off the mark. The second saw Tim Doe curling another free kick into the back of the net, maintaining his place as our top scorer for the season. The final goal was scored by The Gazelle, AKA El Capitan, AKA Mike Hollands who made a marauding run from centre back all the way to the opposition's box, before finding the net and securing the win in style.

The second half felt more even with Bexhill finding some action in front of goal, including a penalty. But Andy Ball held his nerve, diving low to his left to keep the clean sheet intact.

Up to third we go with two games in hand.

🔥GOALS🔥

Yesterday’s goal frenzy saw league leaders Sidley Utd Vets take an early lead, but Parker responded in style with a bullet header from Linton Rogers followed by back to back goals from Anton and Harley to take a 4-1 lead into half time.

Ten minutes into the second half, Parker were 6-1 up and looking comfortable, with goals from Luke Johnson and another from Anton. Sidley then started to turn up the heat, getting themselves back in the game with three in a row. At 6-4 for the closing minutes it was a tense finish, but Parker held on to claim the win. Great game.
