Oh wow - we got nominated for an award!
Thank you so much to our wonderful campers for nominating Dogwood Cottage Campsite, Brede, East Sussex 01424 883570 for the Camping and Caravanning Club's category of 'Best Friendly Club Welcome'. It's so nice to feel we are giving our guests a great experience.
It's been a brilliant season.
Thanks to everyone who visited us this year - we hope you enjoyed your stay in this little corner of East Sussex.
We think it's pretty special but then we are probably a bit biased!
Closing up soon for maintenance - last booking on 17 October.
Until then we'll enjoy the last of the sunshine and wish you all a safe, warm and happy winter.

🚨The wonderful folks at Red Lion Brede are taking a well-deserved rest after a busy summer. Currently closed and reopening on the evening of Friday 15 September.x🚨

It's time for us to take a well deserved break after the busy Summer.
We will be closed from tomorrow (Thursday 7th) until Friday 15th.
Please note the kitchen closes today after lunch and doesn't reopen until the evening of Friday 15th.

Today in Brede! 🪻🥀🌺🏵️🌷👌

Award winning garden designer Kristina Clode will be opening her own garden 4 Waterworks Cottages, Brede, East Sussex again this year for the National Garden Scheme charity on Saturday 1 July 2023,10.30am-4pm. It opens together with another garden 'Sculdown' located nearby in Broad Oak.

Entry is £6 for both gardens, tickets can be bought in advance on the NGS website or on the door at either garden. Children are free entry and dogs on leads are welcome.

There are plant sales by Rotherview Nursery at Kristina's house and refreshments by St. Georges Church at Sculdown. The Brede Steam Giants (35ft Edwardian steam pumps and pump house) are also open, located at the end of Kristina's garden, plus they have a Vintage Car Club in attendance that day with their vintage vehicles for visitors to enjoy as well. The Steam Giants are free entry (donations welcome).
