Saturday saw our Second Men's Board prize of the season with the Cordingley Trophy. Congratulations to our Winners, some fantastic scores on the day and a testament to the course holding up in the horrendous weather Saturday morning.

Not to be today for those Members playing in the Lancashire Mens Amateur but some fantastic golf played over the 4 rounds by all three. Well done and congratulations to Zain from Penwortham on the victory.

Aswell as a busy day at the club today we wish 3 of our members well in the final days play of the Mens Lancashire Amateur Championship being played at Manchester GC. Wishing all the very best to Alex, James & Luke in their pursuit of the title with 36 holes today.

This weekend also saw our Ladies 125 team take on the ladies from Westhoughton GC with our ladies claiming the victory and moving on to round 3. A fantatstic achievement by all the players and we wish them the very best of luck.

Congratulations to our Pro shop assistant and Member Alex for his top 12 finish England Golf Brabazon trophy at Moortown. Alex finished on -4 and was the leading Welsh Golf player in the field. Congratulations alsp to eventual champion Tom Osbourne for some stunning golf over the 4 days.

Away from the course update - our shop Assistant Alex is currently playing in the England Golf Brabazon Trophy at Moortown GC in Leeds and has posted a fantastic Opening round score of -5 currently sitting in T4th place. His 2nd round gets underway at 2.40pm tomorrow. All at the club wish him the very best.

Dave Corsby played a magnificent round of -5 to take the top spot. 👏

Todays event with the PGA in Lancashire also saw a little presentation to our new GM who worked for the PGA for 18+ years before joining us here at Rossendale Golf Club. Jonathan was presented with a gift by Chair Adrian Fryer on behalf of all the PGA Professionals he helped and supported in his tenure within the North of the Country & beyond and was wished well in his new role with the club.
