🏉 U6 Tag Rugby • Every Sunday at Harwich & Dovercourt Rugby Club • 10am

Join our Rugby Family, with a focus on Fun, Friendship & Developing Rugby’s Core Values. We have spaces available in our U6 Sessions. Training on Sunday mornings (no matches).

Our U6 sessions are a great way to introduce 5 year old boys and girls to tag rugby, with an annual membership of just £45.

Whether they’re completely new to rugby or have played before, everyone is welcome.

Our U6 sessions are a pathway to U7 tag rugby, a fast, fun, and completely non-contact format for children in School Year 2, governed by the England Rugby Age Grade Rules. It focuses on core skills like running in space, passing backwards, and scoring tries. At U7s children play matches against other clubs with the local area.

We’re delighted to welcome Lewis Williams back for another season at H&D RFC!

This season sees Lewis take on a new role at inside centre, where we’re looking forward to seeing him bring his physicality, skill and dominance around the ball to the midfield. 💪🔥

We are delighted to announce Sam Parker as our Vice-Captain for the 2026/27 season! 👏

This will be Sam’s first season as Vice-Captain, and we’re confident he’s the perfect person to support the captain throughout the season. Sam is a skilful player, as well as an enthusiastic and confident person, making him a great fit for the role.

💭 Contact rugby is only introduced from U9s (year 4). Until then children play Tag rugby 😎

💭 Reception and Year 1 children train at H&D RUFC. From Year 2, children start to play matches and tournaments 🏉

💭 The RFU Half Game Regulation means that children get to play at least half a game, for all games.👌🏻

💭 We try to keep our membership fees as low as possible. £45 (£3.75 per month) annual membership. £25 (£2.08 per month) if parents are existing members. And we provide the match shirts 👍🏻

💭 Parents, we’ve got your back. We serve food and hot drinks on Sunday mornings ☕️

💭 We like to party! We host annual Minis & Youth Christmas and End of Season Parties 🥳l

A huge congratulations to Flynn Garwood on becoming Captain of H&D RFC! 👏

After 5 years with the club, Flynn steps into his first season as captain of the 1st XV, with his preferred position at No. 8.

Flynn is an explosive player with great skill and ability, and we can’t wait to see what he brings to the pitch this season! 💥🏉

We’re incredibly proud to have Flynn leading the team and will support him every step of the journey. 💙💪
