A tough afternoon for the girls today as we came away with a 5–2 defeat, but plenty of positives to take from the game. 🤍🖤

🏆 POTM: Shayleigh Orr - for her 100% effort and performance, was both attacking and defensive force to be reckoned with 💪

Credit to the girls for continuing to battle and compete against a very strong opposition side. We know we’re a Division 3 team and our focus is on competing at this level, so today gave the squad a particularly good test against a side with some very strong first-team experience on the pitch. But that’s football, and we’ll take the experience and the positives from it.

Two goals, plenty of fight and another game to learn from. We go again next week. 💪

⚽️ FULL TIME | Harwich & Parkeston Women 0–0 Rayleigh Ladies

Our first game of the season! 🖤🤍❤️

We welcomed Rayleigh Ladies on Sunday for a tough opening fixture against a strong side who have just come down from Division 2.

It was a proper battle from start to finish, with both teams working hard and neither willing to give an inch. Despite chances at both ends, neither side could find the breakthrough, with the game finishing 0–0.

A clean sheet, a hard-earned point and our first point of the season! 💪

⭐️ PLAYER OF THE MATCH — Chelsea Waldock

Chelsea put in an absolutely incredible shift, showing unreal energy and determination throughout the 90 minutes — made even more impressive by the fact she ran a 5K the day before! 😂🔥

A thoroughly deserved POTM and a massive effort from Chelsea! 👏

A solid start to the season and plenty of positives to build on. 💪
