After 136 appearances in red and blue, club captain Josh Daley has decided the time is right to test himself at a higher level.

Since joining FC Hartlepool ahead of the 22/23 season, Josh has been a massive part of the club’s journey — playing a huge role in the league & cup double that helped drive us into the Northern League. 🏆🏆

A leader on and off the pitch, a captain who always gave everything for the badge, and someone who represented the club with quality, commitment and professionalism every single week.

Everybody at FC Hartlepool would like to thank Josh for his outstanding service and wish him nothing but success in the next chapter of his career.

I could not be prouder of these lads and everyone involved

After going 1-0 down then shortly after going down to ten men the lads dug deep and got a last minute equaliser to take us to pens, through a fantastic strike from Elliot Wilson

Unfortunately the penalties didn’t go our way

I’d like to thank every single one of our fans for making the trip, we’re entirely grateful
