๐ Blackhall Ladies Cricket Update ๐
On Sunday, our ladies had a fantastic day at the South Hetton Cricket Festival. The event was extremely well organised, and all of the girls gave 100% effort throughout the day.
We are delighted to say that both teams secured their first wins of the season, which has given everyone a huge boost in confidence and morale.
At the end of the festival, one of our teams finished 4th and the other 8th. We believe this is an incredible achievement considering that none of these ladies had ever played cricket before just a few months ago.
Most importantly, the girls had plenty of fun, which has always been our main aim. The team is about much more than cricket, itโs about bringing people together, building friendships, improving wellbeing, and creating a supportive environment where everyone feels welcome.
With 33 ladies now involved, every single one of them shows outstanding commitment, enthusiasm and effort at training and matches. The progress they have made in such a short space of time has been amazing to see, and everyone involved should be incredibly proud of themselves.
They go again on Friday evening, both teams playing away one will be at Seaham Park and the other at Murton.
