Hartlepool United 1 - 0 Woking

A step in the right direction for Pools in what was a feisty game. MOTO Neo Eccleston owning that wing and Ilunga owning the other, had Woking on the back foot at times. Pools were getting frustrated and luckily in the 57th minute Chris Popov was there to make sure the points stayed at the Vic!

Seaton Carew FC 2 - 1 FC Hartlepool

Some things are bigger than football.

A beautiful and fitting tribute to PC Blades and PC Clough from both teams before kick off, with press and media there to cover a poignant moment for the town.

The first derby between these two teams with cracking bit of bite between them but what an advertisement for the football scene in Hartlepool!

A proper local derby.

Newcastle 3 - 2 West Brom

An eventful night at St James Park for the Carabao Cup, which at one point looked to be going the wrong way.

Enter Harvey “hold my beer” Barnes.

A minutes applause last night for PC Matty Blades who was tragically lost to his young family and the FC family in the early hours of Saturday morning. A very heartfelt tribute read out before hand and every word was felt.

Thoughts and prayers with the family at this difficult time.

🔵⚪ Hartlepool United 2–0 Barrow 🔵⚪

What a way to start the season!

Pools got their 26/27 campaign off to a winning start at Victoria Park, picking up three points in front of a fantastic crowd of 5,800.

There were certainly some mistakes from the referee....

With around 1 minute 30 seconds still on the clock at half-time, the whistle went, the players headed down the tunnel only for the referee to realise there was still time left and bring everyone back out to play the remaining 90 seconds before sending them back in again!

Then, in the second half, when it was time to book a player, the yellow card seemingly went missing the referee produced his notepad instead! 😂

A brilliant atmosphere at the Vic too. 5,800 for the opening game is some going!

FC Hartlepool 1-1 Ryton & Crawcrook Albion

A second league game unbeaten for FC Hartlepool, but it was a night of mixed emotions at Grayfields as the points were shared.

After falling behind early, FC showed plenty of character to battle back and earn a deserved equaliser. They looked the more likely side for long spells but couldn’t quite find the killer goal to take all three points.

The unbeaten start remains intact, and with performances like this, the wins will come.

Hartlepool United 0–3 Grimsby Town

A good pre-season test for Pools as League Two side Grimsby Town made the trip to Victoria Park.

While the scoreline wasn't the one Pools would have wanted, there were plenty of encouraging signs throughout the 90 minutes. A number of players really caught the eye and already look like they'll cause National League defences plenty of problems once the season gets underway. 💪

Pre-season is all about building fitness and finding the rhythm of the team.

Darlington Town 0 - 0 FC Hartlepool

The first game of the 26/27 season kicked off last night!

It may have finished 0-0, but there was no shortage of action. Strong challenges flew in, the referee was kept busy with yellow cards, and even the opposition coach saw red during a fiercely contested midfield battle.

Neither side could create the breakthrough, so the points were shared on opening day.

Football is back. ⚽📸

It was great to be back behind the camera for my first match of the new season as FC Hartlepool beat Pools Youth 5-0 in a pre-season charity game in support of Alice House Hospice.

Looking forward to another season of capturing moments from the touchline. Here's a few from today's game!
