Fresh Start is a 19 week course to support young people aged between 16 to 29 years old who have a disability or a health problems.

Based in Hartlepool you will be fully supported to progress onto future training or employment at the end of the course.

A course, which will meet your individual need!

A course, which you will help design.

You will receive individual sessions to plan your programme and choose from a number of courses and qualifications.

Additional support is abatable for childcare, travel, clothing and equipment.

In January 2013, the European Commission created the Youth Employment Initiative (YEI) Programme in order to tackle the high levels of youth unemployment.

Some of the skills we are offering are Employability based on the level of the young
Person, First Aid & Food Hygiene courses will also be incorporated into this area where requested and relevant.

The programs will be delivered over 2-3 days including a work-based placement, which will cover between 161/2 hours and 18 hours a week.

Catcote Academy aims to develop employability and transferrable skills of young people to improve access and integration into the world of work, in particular those who have learning difficulty/disability.

This will be reinforced by the (YEI) to help expand and develop existing programmes of study to build the skill that young people need to enable and empower them within training and supported employment.

The overall Tees Valley YEI aims to support 9,510 young people aged 15 to 29 years over the lifetime of the programme across the Tees Valley with progression into education, training, employment and self-employment.

With each course lasting 19 weeks we aim to help and develop skills need to young people within the age of 15 to 29 for people with specific learning difficulties and/or disabilities.
