Stray Runners Harrogate Social running group where no one is left behind. Finish line, not finish time! Stray Runners Harrogate are an inclusive Social Running group based in Harrogate.

Our run nights are usually Tuesdays and Thursdays at 6pm on the stray outside the Coach & Horses featuring our 5km run group and our 5km jeffing group (run walk - and chat a lot too). We run regular Couch to 5km programs throughout the year and have lots of social events. We intend to put the fun into running. Our group has an England Athletics qualified Coach and six qualified run leaders so help and support is never far away.

This evening after our run we had a little get together at Ake & Humphries W**e Bar to raise a few pennies for two reasons! Firstly to help pay for the repairs to our faithful old bed for the Knaresborough Bed Race, and also Henshaws.
A quiz was hosted by the one and only Jeff, our knowledge is now vastly improved, followed by a fabulous raffle. Thank you all for your donations!!!

We are back to normal on Tuesday after a couple of weeks rest. Looking forward to seeing faces old and new for our 5K social run. We will also have a jeffing group.
Last Sunday some out our members took a scenic journey to York for the 10K. What a stunning run, through the city walls and past the Minster!

*STRAY RUNNERS SUMMER BREAK*🌞

You might have noticed we've been a few leaders down over the last few weeks/month. Unfortunately, the leaders aren't all machines and we get injured from time to time leaving the machines to hold the fort. They've been doing a fantastic job but we think they deserve a bit of a break.

Stray Runners will be having a Summer Break starting after the run on Thursday 23/07/2026 returning Tuesday 11/08/2026.

Although there won't be any official runs, keep an eye on the WhatsApp for any unofficial runs being planned.

We are also on the lookout for another leader, on paper we look like we have enough, but in reality life can get in the way of running sometimes (rude, I know) and we are starting to creak a little. if you think you might be interested in becoming a Run Lead, please have a chat with one of us to see what it's all about, what have to do and the commitment required.

Another week, another 10K. This time some of us were lucky enough to secure places at the Rudding Parkrace, which sold out within 4 hours! A brilliant event with a fantastic atmosphere. Well done everyone, and also thank you to those that came to support us!
