1. Beautiful, brown 17” English leather Lovatt and Ricketts saddle. Model is Ascot, immaculate condition for a used saddle, has been really well looked after, only showing a slight scuff on the cantle. Medium / wide fit. 8.5 inches D ring to D ring. £375

2. Lovely, 16” brand new saddle, never been used. Brown leather, Wide, measures 9" D Ring to D Ring. From Gallop Equestrian – Brand new saddle only - £120.00

3. Lovely 16" black leather saddle, hardly used, very little wear on the stirrup leathers and guard. Two D rings on rear of saddle. Measures 8" D ring to D ring making it a medium width. - £95.00

4. Lovely, 17” brand new saddle, never been used. Black leather, 17" medium/ wide width, measures 8" D Ring to D Ring. Brand new saddle only - £120.00

5. Immaculate 17" black leather saddle from Gallop Equestrian, hardly used. Measures 10" D ring to D ring with a 7.5” gullet, making it a Wide fit. Still has original tags on. - £110

6. 17" Very, distinctive Dark Brown / Black English Leather Saddle from MacTack of Walsall. Seat, 7" D ring to D ring, medium. Hardly used, It does have a mark on the top left of the cantle and the pommel. - £90

7. Lovely 17.5" Black Leather Saddle, Wide Fit, 9” D Ring to D Ring. Hardly Used. Slight mark on seat but not noticeable. Very nice saddle. - £100.00

8. 17.5" Frank Baines Eclipse Model in Havana, wide fitting, with Lovely soft leather knee rolls, comfortable seat. Beautiful used saddle, well loved and looked after English saddle. £275

9. Very nice dressage saddle, manufactured by Barnsby of Walsall. English Leather brown and tan, slight knee rolls, 8" D ring to D ring. Nice long flap, 15" from stirrup iron to tip. Has been used so does have normal scuff marks for a used saddle. Pommel is discoloured, but does not detract from a very sound saddle. Girth straps are showing very little use so may have been recently replaced, but I cannot confirm this.

Measuring Saddles.

As we've bought a number of saddles recently where the size has been wrongly meansured I thought I'd just drop a line about the accepted method of measuring the size of a saddle (hope this is useful ) xx

Measure the length of the saddle from the stud to the centre of the cantle keeping the Tape Measure Straight (not from cantle to pommel!). The size is usually described in inches and half inches. The size may sometimes be stamped on the saddle (either on the girth guard or the stirrup iron).
