TIME TO CHECK YOUR HORSES VACCINATIONS!
Passport checks - Please Read
All British Dressage organisers are required to conduct vaccination checks for horses, either in advance or upon arrival at the venue and prior to unloading.
Please refer to Rule 10, “Equine Influenza Vaccination”, within the British Dressage Members’ Handbook for full guidance regarding vaccination requirements.
Competitors are advised to ensure that their horse’s vaccinations are fully up to date before attending the competition and to withdraw if necessary.
Horses should only attend if their vaccinations are up to date and a minimum of seven days has passed following the administration of a second or third booster vaccination, or an annual booster vaccination.
Any unvaccinated horses, or horses with lapsed vaccinations, arriving on site will not be permitted to compete.
In accordance with Rule 10 of the Members’ Handbook (page 64), organisers are not obliged to offer refunds for withdrawals due to vaccinations not meeting the required criteria.
Sarah Huntridge Equestrian and the Yorkshire Riding Centre request that a copy of each horse’s passport, including the identification and vaccination pages, is sent at the time of entry or in advance to [email protected].
Members should therefore expect passports to be checked to ensure vaccinations are compliant and up to date.
