Tour de Catalunya day #3 - Classic Andorran climb, Arcalis

Two nights in Andorra gave riders options - have a lie in and explore Andorra La Vella (and the amazing bike museum). Or ride up Arcalis, a beautiful climb up to 2,200m and above the snow line. We then got drenched in torrential downpour at start of descent, so dangerous conditions for fast, steep roads! Much needed coffee at bottom of mountain helped warm us up. Still great fun!

Tour de Catalunya day #2 - Foix to Andorra

Morning was spent riding in constant light rain so we all arrived soaked and cold at coffee. Then came a brute of a climb to Andorra, climbing 1800m over 22 miles, again in light rain. Super cold at col - only 5 degrees! But then into Andorra valley and the sun came out! Great day that we’ll all file under “character building”!
