πŸš€ WEEK 6 MATCH RESULTS 🏏
3 wins from 7 games on Saturday, here are the headlines from the weekend:

πŸ”₯ 1st XI Resounding Win: The 1s recorded a comprehensive 7-wicket victory over Flitwick on The Common. Usman Malik (3-52) and Alex Gosling (2-17) restricted the visitors before Andrew Neal made a sparkling return, smashing a brilliant 81*. He was ably supported by Scott Galloway (42) and James Latham (41) to cruise home.

πŸ’ͺ 2nd XI Dominate: The 2s dispatched Potters Bar 2s by 51 runs. Jake Pankhurst led the charge with a fantastic 61, backed by B Luffman (49) and Tulett (37*), to post 244-8. Jack Doyle then ripped through the opposition with a superb 3-13.

🌟 3rd XI Masterclass: The 3s kept their end of the bargain with a clinical 9-wicket win over Kings Langley. A lethal bowling attack led by youngsters Benji Smith (3-9) and Jamie Karunaratne (3-18) dismantled the opposition for just 45, before the batters chased it down in 12.2 overs.

πŸ’” Down to the Wire: It was heartbreak for the 4s and 6s in absolute nail-biters. The 4th XI fell just 16 runs short against Markyate despite 3 wickets each from Mo Umar and Belal Hussain and a fighting 50 from Anuj Behl. Meanwhile, the 6th XI nearly defended a low total against Wheathampstead 4s, losing by just 2 wickets as Om Dam starred with 3-15.

🏏 WEEK 5 MATCH RESULTS 🌧️

Unfortunately, the weather had other ideas this weekend, with all seven men’s fixtures either cancelled or abandoned due to rain.

🌦️ 1st, 2nd, 3rd & 7th XIs – Cancelled
A frustrating weekend for the top three sides and the 7s, with rain preventing a ball from being bowled.

β›ˆοΈ 4th XI – Abandoned
The 4s looked set for an interesting chase against Radlett 3s before the rain arrived. Earlier, Mike Hughes (3-28) and James Taylor (2-33) had helped restrict the visitors to 169-7 from their 40 overs. Harpenden had reached 1-0 before the weather closed in.

🌦️ 5th XI – Abandoned
Another fixture cut short by the conditions, with Rickmansworth reaching 92-3 from 19 overs. Matthew Dugmore (2-14) and Emelia Murray (1-26) were the wicket-takers before play was abandoned.

🌦️ 6th XI – Abandoned
The 6s battled hard to post 101 all out against Aldenham. Kapil Singhal top-scored with an unbeaten 22*, while Ben F**g contributed 17. Unfortunately, the rain arrived before a result could be achieved.

⭐️ Top Performers of the Week
⭐️ Mike Hughes (3-28)
⭐️ James Taylor (2-33)
⭐️ Matthew Dugmore (2-14)
⭐️ Kapil Singhal (22*)
⭐️ Ben F**g (17)

🌧️ Not the cricket-filled weekend we hoped for, but hopefully sunnier skies await as we head into Week 6!
