Last week, we did a thing….

The WeTRAIN COMBINE 📊📈📉

Across the week our coaching team guided our members through a carefully selected battery of tests. The combine consists of relevant, specific, age and audience appropriate tests which offers the opportunity to reference/test/measure abilities like mobility, stability, fitness, strength, power, threshold and even mental conditioning.

It’s important to understand our idea behind this is NOT to identify the most athletic people, but ACTUALLY to give our members the opportunity to explore and understand themselves and their progress.
When you attain an understanding and self-awareness of what your strengths and limitations are, you can present yourself with a clear view in goal setting, cultivating purpose/intent and building self-efficacy, but also self-regulation.

The WeTRAIN Combine takes place every 6months here within our programme. For us it’s about bringing people together in the pursuit of becoming ourselves, but better 🌍 🤝

Hi guys - Gym&Juice Fridays is back THIS FRIDAY! For years 7-11 immediately after the Friday night Teen Trains - trainers and friends are all welcome!

Games night so bring your favourite games for the tournament!

Going forwards, Gym&Juice Fridays will be monthly on the first Friday of every month - be great to get your teens along as a healthy place to hang out on a Friday night!

We are just weeks away from our first event of the Fittest Series, GRIT 1.0 on Sat Nov 9th, which will see the event take over the whole industrial park - Roads will be cleared and closed for the purpose 🌍📍🚧

Competitors - SOLO or PAIRS - aim is to complete the following sequence FOR TIME. Fastest finishers to complete all stations consecutively for the podium.

Station 1 - 1k Ski

Station 2 - 1k Run Flat

Station 3 - HAUL: 25 Winch Pull downs (32/24kg)

Station 4 - 800m Run Hill

Station 5 - 1k Row

Station 6 - 1k Run Flat

Station 7 - ASCEND: *xreps TBC on day of event* Loaded Box Step Overs (w/WV 25/15kg)

Station 8 - 800m Run Hill

Station 9 - CARRY: 250m Sandbag Carry (45/30kg) w/ 10 BOB every 50m

Station 10 - 1k Run Flat

Station 11 - SEND: Rogue Echo Bike Kcals Solo - 50/35 ; Pairs 100/80

KEY NOTES:
- Solo complete the race alone. Pairs complete the race together and can essentially share the GRIT & ERG stations.
- There will be clearly marked and designated entry/exit points with timing gates for each station, all connected by a ‘transition’ zone (marked on the schematic by GREEN ZONE)
- Running maps will be guided by left & right lane barriers.

A few things to note:
- as gritty as it sounds, this event is available and accessible for all abilities. The only dividing factor is time.
- We will even be categorising age groups.
- Only 3-4 solos will wave every 10mins, whilst only 2-3 pairs will wave every 10mins
- You will be briefed in detail as well as guided around the event the whole time with positioned Marshalls.

New! Something special for WeTrain - Yoga at Gym and Juice commencing 20th of June!

The style of yoga is Vinyasa Flow which will be open to absolute beginners all the way through to experienced yogi's. The first 6 week block is called 'Strengthen your Centre' with a particular focus on core.

Run by Flow with Sophie - who has been practicing yoga for over 10 years, trained at Sthira Yoga School Goa, India.

We'd love to see you there - any questions, don't hesitate to give Sophie a shout!

Changing perspectives is an important facet of ‘coaching’ that brings about lifelong influence.

Celebrating the fact that we all have the privilege to train, challenge and enjoy taking of care our bodies, and minds, no matter what our own personal barriers. Whilst squashing the notion of exercising chores.
This is the epitome of the culture, and perspective, we live by.

It’s not about insisting there is a right way, but imparting knowledge and experience relative to the person in front of you... that provides them with the TOOLS to find it in their own way.
