The 1st XI secured a crucial win batting first as the time format fixtures began this week. Led from the front by Skipper Yeats with another magnificent ton, very well supported by A Jessey and Raza enabled us to post a challenging score. The key factor was the declaration gaining us those extra overs back at Newham.
Enter the spin pair of G Jessey and Whitworth who bagged 7 wickets between them to take out the middle order. It was J Riddell who got the final wicket to get us over the line.

The 2nd XI secured victory over Frenford by just 9 runs!
R Qayyum opened up the innings and ended up top scoring with 48. W Azam provided some late hitting to get Harlow up to a defendable score of 197.
Wickets were share around with Azam, R Fuller and Farooq picking up 2 wickets each as Harlow won with 3 balls to spare!

The 3rd XI won their own nailbiter. On paper a 72 run win looks comfortable, but more late drama entailed. A batting performance with everyone chipping in allowed Harlow to reach 210 all out. Anything is possible on Spicers with 200+.
Ever reliable captain Dobson bowled 16 overs through and was rewarded with a fine 5 wicket hall. Shenfield 8 wickets down and looking comfortable, Dobson making change after change - up steps Afaq to pick up the final two wickets to seal victory!
โ A Day to forget for the 4th XI as they travelled to Aztec 3rds. At the half way stage there would of been positivity in the air chasing 217 with L Forde economical again picking up 2 wickets. Norris also chipping in with 2 wickets.
We then batted - let's leave it there. On to next week!

The 5th XI secured a comfortable and well earned victory against Stansted 2nd XI. Winning the toss and putting the oppo in we worked hard with 10 men. Disaster struck and we were down to 9 very early on due to injury. To restrict Stansted to 219 was a great effort by all in the field. Wickets shared between all the bowlers.
It's always a pleasure to bat at Stansted, a batter's paradise some would say, and J Sykes took advantage as he blistered his way to 145 not out to bring home the win. M Shaikh (36) and Z Ali (28*).
